Drifting sucks!
I watched all of Inital D and drifting was awesome! Racing down mountain passes sideways on 15 mile courses!
I then watched a pro drift event and they were all just doing 30mph rolling burnouts around the same few turns.
What the ****! How did japanese drifting become something so ******* lame? Same goes for USA street racing! Racing from a dig/roll is fun but what happened to racing down a course with turns????
USA FAIL

I had no idea what you were talking about, so I Googled it. Apparently the correct spelling is "d0r1ft0" here in the 'states. Its accompanied by phrases such as "m4d tyte y0" and "sk1llz" and appears to have something to do with "figure skating" and destroying cars and tires.
Just thought I should clear that up for ya

**** that, why not do it on the street LIKE INITIAL D? Nice long courses, can be done safely if properly organized. Don't tell me you don't drive fast on public roads with turns.

Had to look up "Initial D." Was not impressed by comparison of motorsports to a Japanese cartoon.
On a related note, found out that Amy Winehouse is dead. So that kind of lifted my spirits a tad.

American drifting is a spectacle. You can't put drifting on a mountain side and then ship crowds to it. So they put the drifting in a nice little lamed up package where you can see the whole thing from beginning to end from the same lawn chair in front of the jersey barrier at Turn 11 at Road Atlanta.
