Default emissions testing in British Columbia?

I couldn't get a definitive answer from ICBC... I'm moving to Vancouver Island this year, and I'd like to figure out if they have emissions testing up there, if anybody has input.

PS ICBC is a crown corporation, as such there are highly trained , useless , deliberately evasive and essentially a general liability. In other words don't expect them to be helpful , ever . You will be shocked with your insurance costs. Welcome to Canada Fredb

The emission testing (air-care) was phased out two-ish years ago.

Air care wasn't even province wide when we did have it. It was a Greater Vancouver / Fraser Valley thing. Didn't ever have it in the interior , not sure if it was mandated on the Island or not. Fredb
