Default Falken tire cheap

Why are Falken Azenis RT615 so cheap? Discount tire is taking $80 and $50 off on a set of 4. Have to use their credit card for the $50 rebate.

Cause they are a 5 year old design/compound and a budget tire to being with? Anyone that would consider the RT615 will buy the new Kumho XS or Hankook RS3.

If both discounts apply on the same order, they would cost $142 for 4 delivered.

That I could afford. Thanks for the facts.

That said, for the price, that is pretty badass.

New model coming out. Same design and carcass but a new rubber formulation. Likely trying to get rid of old stock in prep for the new.

How?

I'm on discounttire.com and have 4 in my cart. The 14" size at $80ea.

Problem #1: The total for the tires is $320

320
80
- 50
$190

roughly $30 sales tax on top of that.

Then.. I see no option to ship them. No where.

What am I missing here?

I got a bunch of thse a hwhile back for the lemons car with the cyber monday sales. It was $174 a set and I have a guy that will mount and balance all four tires for $20. I have a set tires for 2 races for $240 after taxes and everything.

Discount Tire Direct lists the price at $68 each. Free shipping.

Oh.

I was at discounttire.com, same company, different price... but they advertise their stores to have "free balance, free rotation, free etc." Well, if the online store sells them at $12 cheaper each, its no wonder they tell you free this free that at the store.

Glad that's cleared up. Thanks
