First annual miataturbo dyno/kart/meet day!!!
Okay looks like September 23, 2006 is the best date for most people. I wrote first annual b/c it'd be cool to make it a more frequent event. So now, I need to know who will be coming? Will you run on the dyno (info below)? Will you run on the kart track (info below)?
Crap, first dyno place is booked until October. There are still two other local dynos that I will call as well first so we can still dyno if people are interested, it just won't be at the original location. We have two choices, but I'll have to make a reservation soon. One is a dynojet in Lansdale, PA for $60 for three pulls, and the other is a mustang dyno in Aston, PA for $75 for 2-3 pulls with one 1/4 mile simulation run.
The kart racing website is http://www.midatlanticgrandprix.com/...COME_RACE_FANS. It's $20 a race and if ten guys come out, they'll do a $50/3 race package. You can bring your own helmet if you have one so you don't have to bask in someone else's sweat. They do give everyone a head sock though.
For a preliminary itnerary, I figure the early/local guys will get to the dyno around 9am and have everyone else trickle in during the morning. We can then hit lunch at a number of different places ranging from a local brewery to authentic mexican to the big harley davidson restaurant off 95. Then hit the kart racing place after lunch. Feel free to join at any point in the day if you can't make it early.

Geez....I looked at the poll and was like WTF?!?!?!? That explains it. :gay:
Side note: I found yet another dyno in Newark, DE that would be $50 for three pulls with WB. That would make it slightly closer for the MD/VA guys, but I am trying to be fair to olderguy and the guys from up there (both in location and age ) as well since he will be coming from northern NJ.

Okay reservation for dyno time is made. September 23 starting from around 9:30-10am to at least noon if not more time. Dyno is in Newark, DE to make it closer to the guys coming up from the south. Place website and address is here: http://www.aca-performance.com/default.htm
The guy there was very friendly and said price would be $60 for three/four pulls with wideband AND he agreed to let us make minor tweaks between runs so you could get some minor tuning in. He is doing this as a courtesy since we are bringing more than just one car so we should take advantage of this, but not abuse it (so we can come back next time).
So those that plan on dynoing, come prepared with preset emanage maps (if you want to try other maps for ignition/fueling/etc..) and tools to adjust any afpr/afm/bipes etc... So when the time comes to change stuff, we can make it painless for both us and the dyno operator so we can actually get some tuning in.
Hopefully, turbotim and braineack are also coming, but I know there are more of you locals out there. Come on out, the more the merrier. Oh, I also forgot, feel free to invite any non-miata friends as well if you must....

I should be able to make it. Only about a 2 hour drive for me. I just ordered an LC-1 and a narrowband gauge finally, so hopefully I'll have it fully tuned and can just get some good runs to see the power I'm making.
