I saw a Mazda 6 with Mustang style headlights and it threw me off for a second. It actually looked kind of good (ignoring the "stance" obviously).

Did a bunch of work on one today and had a chance to drive it on the street. Very impressed. Engine is just the right amount of power, very manageable. Surprised the ride quality hasn't been mentioned. Thing seems like a road trip king, it seemed super quiet and comfortable on my short drive.

oil change: retarded, dumps oil on the power/CAN lines for the PS.

rear springs: retarded, easiest way is to drop the subframe.

alignment: managed 2.5* with Steeda camber plates and factory lowering springs. Could have gotten maybe .1-.2 more before hitting the chassis.

Had a laugh after working on plenty of Miatas, 17mm wrench for tie rods locking nuts. GT350? 24mm!

After working on miatas and old Hondas, working on any other new car is funny... especially big/powerful cars.

Spin on or cartridge? The latest cars are cartridge as the spins ons were, um, spinning off.

I plan on doing the FP spring kit, good to know it's ugly beforehand.

We're doing our own camber plates with coaxial perches for the upcoming Xidas. So, crash bolts for now.

Stock ones are press in, btw. Dunno if crash bolts work well with that.

the rear springs are easy, great video online. They're just a pain if you don't find the video until after you've wasted 2 hours trying to pivot the lower arm down.

It was a 2017 spin on. Owner specifically wanted it torqued to factory spec. Stupid factory tool has a 22mm nut, which means 1/2" socket and 1/2" torque wrench. Difficult through the access hole, but you cant really get the combo on between the filter and the subframe until it's actually tight. Like I said, retarded. You end up denting and scraping up the filter a bit removing the filter wrench.

Do you know if the cartridge filter can be retrofitted? Sounds much better.

Just starting to research the filter thing. Apparently they can be retrofitted but it's not simple. Ford makes a crash bolt as well as a few aftermarket suppliers. One hack is to simply grind the knurling off of the factory bolt, voila another degree of camber.

Interestingly, I've been at a couple track days where a GT350 has blown up, and an auto journalist told me they blew up two of them during their car of the year testing. Apparently the earlier ones had a recall on a faulty oil line. Glad you are enjoying your car, and I hope it's fine.

Yeah, they already did a recall for that awhile ago.

I love the sound of the GT350 but experienced the above failure a little more personally than I would have liked. The car ahead of me lost the aforementioned oil line at the end of our track's main straight. I had zero braking on the left-hand wheels and promptly spun going into Turn 1. I missed the outside tire wall and inside concrete wall and, luckily, there was no-one close behind to collide with me. Turns out that he had an appointment to replace the oil line the following Monday.

Avery SW900 Gloss Orange and metallic gray center stripe being applied by Aerowerkz Motorsport in Walnut, CA AeroWerkZ - Home
Lots of bits to remove to do a professional wrap on most modern cars.

So the GT350 doesn't come with tow hooks. Both Ford Performance and all aftermarket tow hook options require removing panels. Weird that Ford didn't include them or make them easily attached. We're installing the Ford Performance tow hooks while the bumpers are off. They are the lightest available.

Yeah, that's not a wheelie. There are actually six people stuffed under there.
