Ford GT350
#146
Terence ("HanSolo" and "50Deep") from a couple of the Mustang forums hosted a private day at Buttonwillow yesterday. The event sold out, with 60 drivers and another 30-40 crew/friends/family hanging out, telling lies and dodging stray cars in the paddock. Just kidding, the event went off great and we spent the day lapping CW1 with about 30 other GT350/Rs, with a smattering of regular S550 cars and the handful of S197.
Sonny went out for the first session to feel out the changes we've made to the car, since he drove it here last for SuperLabBattle. Since then, we've added Ford Performance lowering springs and Whiteline adjustable swaybars, along with our new 19x11 and 19x11.5" 6UL wheels and a fresh set of 305/30/19 RE71R.
Current "build" specs:
2017 GT350
R splitter - Ford
R replica wing - Anderson Composites
Ford Performance springs - Ford
Whiteline bars
dual front "crash" bolts - ??
949 Racing 6UL wheels
19x11 +24 front (R spec)
19x11.5 +56 rear (R spec)
305/30/19 Bridgestone Potenza RE71R all around
Alignment is roughly:
-4.4 front
-1.8 rear
OE caster
zero toe.
After that, we spent the day turning a mix of 91 and 100 octane into noise, giving rideaongs M@MRLS style until we were well and truly exhausted. Rough day at the office.
