Ford GT350
#64
To date I have convinced at least two friends to buy them after giving them a ride then letting them drive. Three other freinds shopping but haven't pulled the trigger yet. It's a bit of a game changer. If it's in the budget, I don't think any other car in this price range is as good, or as good a deal.
I wasn't a "Mustang guy" either until the FR500. That car made me "Mustang Curious". Then the GT350 dropped and I was converted.

Sounds
So the factory 9 speaker system is comically bad. Like rent a car tinny. No subwoofer. Pulled one of the package shelf OEM 6 1/2" speakers. Magnet couldn't have been more than 4oz.
Front end is good and 3 way amped though. So I'm replacing all the OEM speakers with mid level Focal component speakers and a a subwoofer with separate amp in the trunk.
Car has no OEM spare, just a foam block with compressor and can of tire goo. I didn't want to carry the weight of the subwoofer/amp on track so I asked them to build a removable box with quick release connectors and a slot for the tire kit. Whole think is a FRP structure that lifts out.
Not quite done yet, this pic is WIP.

I imagine it will be better than no sub, which is how it left the factory. I'm not an audiophile and the car is not about blasting 120db gangsta rap at Cars n Coffee. I simply can't hear or make out what is on the radio when driving on the highway. It's that bad. If I crank the volume enough to make out details or hear lyrics, it's just painful noise. I'm spoiled by the amazing OEM Alpine system in my Ram 3500. That's like 10 speakers and a single 10" subwoofer under the back seat. That is the best audio system I have ever owned, mobile or otherwise.

Yup. I was really surprised and how civil a highway car it is. Rumbly exhaust but very muted unless you boot it. Magnetic shocks are firm but quite supple even on bad pavement. About like 800/500 Xida race on a squeak/rattle free NB. Seats are awesome.
I hadn't planned on putting money into the audio system but the car deserves it.
