Wow. I'm amazed it's only 250# more for a Protege. That's only one me!

Bah. I'm really more of somewhere between Healthy and Husky, but still far south of Fluffy and DAMN!

On the plus side, I look around 200. Yay for genetics giving me a barrel chest and short strong legs.

Thats based on wikipedia numbers.

I dont know what the average miata weighs with gas and all but when I had my turbo escort (Same chassies as protege) it weighed in just under 2350 with mostly full gas tank, turbo and sound system installed. made 198whp (screwed up turbo compressor) and was much fun.

brain's altima?

I wouldn't 24 hours of lemons
I wouldn't chump car
I wouldn't reverse-drive smash-up derby
I couldn't afford to replace tires on a weekly basis
I'm not old enough to drive a gold car
I can't abide curbrashed 17 inch tires on a car of stock height
in this area, nissans are pretty racially specific vehicles

They do this at our local track as a filler event. All of the Factory Stocks and Hornets get on the track. The goal is to make one lap in reverse. I watched someone gun it right into the wall doing like 30 MPH. We call it the Kurt Busch Race.

lars really wanted me to sell it him for a lemons car.

honestly, it was a pretty stout car. I had little issues with it in all it's 148K miles of abuse. If it hadn't been for all other people running into it, it would have been even nicer. That tire wear really stunk and was really the only sore point. The paint really held up after all the years, and it was parked outside 99.3% of its life.

plus i pulled a 15.7 in the 1/4 mile with this thing BRO and learned how to autox in it, where I was consitently faster than most others in my class.

I'll never buy a nissan ever again in my life I suspect, but I really got the $16,000 I paid for it, out of it, back in Aug of 2000.
