Fuel Line de-icer (Now mildly NWS)
I suppose. But even if you go out and purchase a game like I did--in a box with a disc and instruction manual at a retail store--every time you want to play the game you still have to log in and ask Steam for permission. Every Single Time, even though the content of the game requires no Internet interaction. It as if you really don't own anything. Steam can go **** themselves.
If you don't have internet for it to check then you can go jump in a volcano. Steam is easily the best digital distribution package on the planet. Hence, all major publishers are realizing that they should make their content available on it.
Also, you can log in to steam, let it verify the authenticity of your games and then go into offline mode...

YOU CAN DOWNLOAD PORTAL FOR FREE UNTIL MAY 24TH.
Just thought I'd throw that out there for those of you who don't understand this thread. Do it. You won't regret it.
But there's no sense crying over every mistake...

And a link, for those too lazy or too stupid to find it themselves. Just press the 1500 megawatt Aperture Science Heavy Duty Super-colliding Super-button.
(Warning- the effects of prolonged exposure to the button are not part of this test.)

Looks like you'll have to subject yourself to the least awful DRM ever implemented however, so according to r808, you're probably better off throwing yourself into the fire.
Or not.
(You just keep on trying 'till you run out of cake!)

... and as usual. Valve has managed to drag the schedule on and on and on...
Are we taking bets on April 18?
Meanwhile, a brief interlude:

On the bright side, co-operative gameplay sounds interesting.
