That's a long time to drive to Daly City from San Francisco. Did you get lost in Hunter's Point?

longest Ive gone in my usltrashield, 450/375 gc'd, 300mm wheel, gutted, 6puck clutch, rotaRB's, miata has been 6 hours. 2 up, 4 back... wasnt so bad but the ultrashield doesnt breath at all... so I was soaked in sweat. midday LA traffic from pamona area -> SD

the ride up was at speed and the suspension wasnt bad, but sitting in traffic with the 6puck and heat was no fun.

Yah, I was premature on the win comment.

Did I mention it was a race exhaust and gutted car? No AC or stereo?

How about 45 minutes on the highway holding the top closed with one hand?

Bob referred to the exhaust as the "Fart Man" Exhaust, that wasn't very fun either....

3 hrs to Gonzales, LA and then 3 hours back.

'91 greddy with 2.5" straight exhaust (no cat, no muffler, only a resonator near the tip), NEW 1.6 ACT XT clutch (not broken in yet), with a newly installed Turbotony downpipe rattling like all hell against the transmission, and a stock blown suspension (150k miles old) that rattles and causes the car to dart in odd directions on every pothole impact thanks to the "nowhere near close" alignment. Hell, I'm looking at suspension options right now because it pissed me off so bad.

That was my joy today because my honda DD was in the body shop.

Good job thread-digging.

On this note, though, I drove my 700/450/KONI RACE dampers to and from Thunderhill a few weeks back. You're all pussies. My knee hurt the most and it was from keeping it in the same position for 3 hours. A thigh cushion would probably cure that.

When I was having my INJ fuse problems I kept seeing this thread and wishing my Miata ran so I could bitch about it.

The FCM stops n' tops have done a lot to smooth out the rise though.

Oh yea? Well I spent 10 minutes going to the grocery store in my Miata with 40,000 mile shocks, stock engine, and fully padded seats.

I'm the most badass.
