I never liked the Corvette until the new c6. I have to say it is one really nice looking car. It got rid of that cheap feeling I hated.

I would take a z06 over the ZR1 though, looks cleaner to me.

...with slicks and a non-factory suspension. I like the article on the ZR1 because they specifically point out that the suspension is factory, and the tires are stockers.

 

They also pointed out, that it almost got beat by the Z06 with a 7:42, which was running in stock form.

 

This doesnt change the fact GM is going out of business either.

 

Do you have any idea how many jobs would be impacted by that? There have been MUCH less important large companies in WAY more trouble, that have done just fine.

and the vette didn't have a pro driver, just "GM's development engineer." i would love to see what the car would run with a pro driver that knows the track really well.

GM is a worldwide company. Its not going under anytime soon. They have plenty of markets to balance out the blunders in the US.

Bottom line, its faster than your bloated little nissan dream car. And you don't have to wait to get a track to actually romp on it at its full potential.

Its not my cup of tea. Corvettes will never break the "midlife crisis poor mans supercar" mentality. I mean hell the interior in the 100k Corvette still looks like hell.

the same exact thing can be said about a miata. they will never break the gay/girls car image. and there is not a thing wrong with good looking chrome wheels.
