God damn motherf**kin Sams Club peices of ****
I recently bought 4 new
Fuzion VRI 215-50-17 tires from tire rack for my mazda 3
They came in all shiny and new with the new tire smell we all love. After letting them sit in my garage a few days cause i have been busy with work etc i decide today is a good day to get these suckers mounted and balanced. So i took my dads van laoded the tires and he drove with me to the local sams club to get the **** done. To start with well
They took damn near and hour to do the job. Stratched the fuckout of my rims and well look at this picture. The ************* somehow seem to have cut the bead of my tire when doing the instalation. I didnt notice this until i got home and after waiting abit for the tires to cool went out to check the air pressure.
Obviusly i am was and still am livid upon seeing the damage i drove straight back to the sams club in question where the manager informed me i was SOL and all he could do is refund the 40 bucks i paid for a mount and balance. So wtf guys i need your help. There are no other tire places open in my local until probly tuesday so i will have to wait and see how bad the damage trully is.
So anyone Suggestions?, advice?, join my rant agianst incopetance and down right criminal negligence?

Is Sam's Club a Tire Rack approved installer? If so, then give a call to Tire Rack and see if they can help.
For future reference, you do get what you pay for. I would never have tires mounted or dismounted on/ off wheels that I care about at the cheapest possible place.

My parent had their tires on the SUV replaced by Sams without a problem, and I had my Dunlop DZ101's installed last month at Sams without a hitch, scratch or otherwise. It took them 45 minutes to do the install, and they even torqued the lugs with a TQ wrench. I checked the ft lbs when I got home and they all were at a nice 80ft lbs.
Right over the service bay entrance are the ASE Certs of the guys that are doing the work. Most of the dudes at my local Sam's have 5+ year experience and some of them have specific tire manufacturer training.
Sorry for your luck, but I cannot complain about them. Hopefully the management there will step up to the plate.

That is BS. The only thing you really can do is take it above the managers head. Let him know you are going to though, he might want to fix it at his level instead of dealing with the hassle of that.

+1 demand satisfaction or go over his head. Actually, I would just go over his head at this point. You already tried to deal with him once, and you do not want to give him a heads-up that you are going over his head (in case he tries to be proactive by covering his *** with his manager in advance). Keep moving up the management chain until you get satisfaction, or talk to one of the Waltons

I run a sam's club tire shop. When we screw up we pay for the **** to get fixed. If the store manager won't help; contact the Home office and don't give up. Sam's Club will pony up something eventually. If the bead of the tire is damaged it can lead to unsafe driving conditions. I won't let a member leave with something unsafe.
In sam's defense(sort of) most installers are properly trained and scratched wheels happen rarely. An hour is a reasonable amount of time for mount and balance of low pro tires. The number of policies and steps in sam's tire installation is excessive, but are there for the members safety. It is company policy to not install competitor tires so that store should have turned you away.
There are stores that have earned reputations for problems, but most are careful. Mine is USUALLY awesome.

it just opened this year so i had no prior knowledge good or bad about the store in that capacity. The manager finally said i should have been turned away since i brought in outside tires to wich i said "Well you need to reafirm and reprimand the people who let this happen." Then if i had been turned away i would have waited and gone to a tire shop i know would do the job to my satisfaction. Since when is a 215-50 a low pro tire?
Im not unreasonable left but i have been present and helped in several mount dismounts of all sorts of tires and this one was by far the most poorly done one i have ever had done.
I will try to find another tire shop in the morning and see if i can access the damage and determine if i need a new tire or not. Noone present at the shop had any but a minor certification in anything.

well i just got that **** checked out by a good shop and it looks like the damage is mostly to the inside ply of the tire right of the bead. The guy says i should be ok as long as long as i dont see a bubble form anytime in the future, due to air getting between the plys. So im still going to pursue retribution but only half heartedly compared to the visceral retribution i was going to seek i gues sams club got lucky. I still have all my receipts etc and pictures of the damage so if anything happens in the future to cause a wreck or whatnot i will sue there asses with a vengance.

You're retarded Take better pics..at least check the damn quality of a picture before posting something that will give everyone a migraine headache trying to figure out what's going on. That aside, it's pretty obvious they just knicked the skin of the rim protector on the tire..you're over reacinting. I'd be more pissed about the scratches on the rims, if they are really there. Some damage is almost bound to happen when mounting wheels.......unless you personally go supervise them mounting process and make sure they use some padding on the rim when using the pry bars.
I get to go mount /dismount tires on a new set of SSR Comp C-RS AND a set of brand new TE37s.....talk about pucker factor to make sure not a damn thing happens to them.

This is why my new RS3/6UL package cost me $100 to mount and balance on a carry in set of wheels and tires. It's the best shop in town with the best equipment and the only shop outside of a dealer with Hunter road force balancing equipment. Is it too much? It was high, but worth it to me.
Zero acratches on new wheels, tape weights on the inside only, Hunter road force balanced to less than 10 lbs. They had to mount and remount a couple twice to get them to match my specs. They spent a bit over an hour on the actual work.

Nah the scratches im sol on they arent major but they wherent there when i brought the car in the burden of proof would be on my to prove that the car had not aquired them over the 4-5 yrs it has been on the raod and having seen the ability of my camera i doubt anything it shows would hold up to much scrutiny for something that small.
Oh and no **** on the expensive wheels thing its not like i let my rpf-1's more than 5 ft away from me when i carry them in to get a change done. 250$ a wheel when they arent on sale means i can afford to stow my conveince. But hell this was my daily and it was just some ****** 215-50r 17's its not like it was a 20-40 series or a damn 20 inch wheel.
