Default Google Chrome. Don't be Evil.

Posting from Chrome. Just to try out the beta. Clearly it's got a lot of newness still. Not a lot to monkey with since there's no extension API yet but the interface is interesting so far.

One thing I noticed here? Down in the lower right hand corner of the post entry box is a little stack of dots like this: .: It's resizable on the fly. I can drag it as wide as the scroll bar to the right and as tall as I want. Can't drag left though.

Interesting.

I do like the tab layout and multithreaded setup for everything. Pages might be faster but I haven't looked yet. Oh and the new tab page is kinda neat. Though that should be fully customizable at some point I'd wager.

Anyway.. anybody else try it yet?

Well, I'm sure glad that's finally shipping. I was beginning to worry that we didn't have enough different web browsers yet.

Lynx anyone?

I tried it yesterday, it loads pages kinda slow, I'm gonna play with it some more when they have worked out a few of the kinks.

It renders pages faster than a *****. Way faster than FF and IE.

Ask and ye shall receive. Now bear in mind, these are released by Mozilla, so they may be skewed, but google also released a set that showed blazing fast performance. Odd. I love the browser for what it can become, however, I will not use it until they allow plug ins (Read: POP UP BLOCKER)

haha. tags.

brad: it's a pop-up container already. so their Comic Book says. Go read that on google's site. It's interesting, if dumbed down.

I think as it evolves beyond beta it will get more flexibility in the installation process (where icons end up) and expansion (extensions) and configuration options. The context menu will fill up and have lots of fun ****.

did you check out the "task manager" for it? you can bring up all the running tabs and kill them or view what resources their using.

oh and the memory summary page (note how it shows firefox too):

I had an idea a couple weeks ago. Use the blank title bar for the tabs, then I found Chrome yesterday, and hot damn they did it! I also like how they did away with the info bar on the bottom. It's like going from a 4:3 to a 16:9 widescreen. I feel like my window to the internet just got bigger.

As for the toolbar and stuff, it was already on this computer through other means, I disabled that stuff long ago.

One thing I noticed is some of the Facebook applications do not like Chrome.

Just downloaded it now. Playing around with it, I don't like how it scrolls. But I wonder if that can be changed...

I know it "contains" pop ups, but I want "ad blocking"... for instance.. a large banner on the front page of a car website.
