I hate to come off as a dick, or insensitive, etc. but it sounds like you should put that cat down asap, or up for adoption, etc. Just get rid of it. Once they show signs of aggression, ESPECIALLY towards people you need to draw the line.
We had to get rid of a pitbull for the same reason, who was the sweetest dog I've ever met.. until it tried to kill one of our other dogs.. twice. Yeah, twice. We should have taken action the first time, and we're sure glad the second attack wasn't worse than it was (blood and bruises, but the victim, a much much smaller dog, lived.).
Anyways, if a dog/cat of mine attacked another one of our pets AND the GF unprovoked.. it would not be around much longer.
Good luck man, i know how hard it is to get rid of a pet.. even when they go psycho. Because of course when you go to take them to the vet they act like the sweetest thing you've ever seen.. they know.

Well, the other thing about those pictures is: She never ever EVER sits like that. She's prissy and likes to be neat. That's the first time she's ever let her legs just dangle over the edge of the platform. And she never just sits there with her eyes half open like that. Either full happy squint, or full wide-eyed watching things.
Little weird to watch.
Little weird to watch.

I almost kicked it through a wall last night when it came at me. Had to consciously refrain.

Yep. Put them back together again last night for about 10 minutes. Was about all we could watch. Never got into full on fighting, but she started to go after him about 4-5 times, we just stepped in stopped her beforehand each time.
As soon as he gets out of the bedroom, she flips like a light switch from super happy, purring, and rubbing on everyone to "stalk and kill mode." Tail down but not between her legs, slightly lower stance and just follows him around no matter where he goes, about 1-2 feet behind him.
Meh. We can keep them separated until then, just sucks because the tabby thinks he's done something wrong and has taken to crying most of the time that he's in the bedroom and we're in not. And the Mau screams and yowls and tries to break through the door the whole time we're in the bedroom with him, including while we're trying to sleep at night.
The "good" news is that i think we have someone that will take her in the event that the vet doesn't give us any sort of news.
If she has to go, we'll be looking to adopt another one ASAP. I think the tabby is going to need another cat to keep him company/entertained and we both feel pretty awful that it might come down to getting rid of a cat that we rescued.

Did one cat get out, roll in something, and suddenly smell different?
I have 2 twin sister orange tabbies. One broke her leg last week (my cat - least graceful cat in the world) and went to the vet. She came back with a pink leg cast and a bath. Her sister went APE **** hissing and attacking the poor wounded pink kitty. Just... manic. It was horrible. My cat was totally stoned on pain drugs and couldn't drag herself away from the attacks.
It calmed down a bit. There was still hissing on stupid cat's part every time she walked past her sister. Then I put together that pink kitty (that's her new name) no longer smells like herself. She got bathed and operated on.
Solution: I gave the idiot sister a bath. A rough one.
That night, both sisters were found snuggled up on the couch together. Fighting never returned.

I'm finding some articles that are saying that potentially this could happen if EITHER cat is sick. If Mau is sick, could be weird behavior. If the tabby is sick, Mau could be trying to "keep the herd strong" through natural selection.
I'll ask the vet about it tomorrow and if need be, will set up another appointment for Mr. Peach ASAP.
Will also try a Feliway diffuser as a last resort of the vet can't find anything. I don't think either of us particularly want to get rid of her.

The more I read your story, the more convinced I become that it's how Maus are. Your descriptions are exactly what I would put down in a report if I had to detail the fights. The stalking, the intimidation of the other cats by sitting in close proximity and following with the tail down. As I understand it, PM FOR BEST FORUM PRICING!
Whoops, sorry about that. As I was saying, I understand it to be a relatively new breed in the American cat world, and we might not understand the temperaments fully. They may not get along with other cats as much as we want them too. Many dog breeds were not though of as "vicious" until many people started noticing that "hey, mine does that too!"
Perhaps Maus have a bit more wild in them than thought.
I do hope for the best outcome here, and if it's transfer of ownership, so be it. It's always hard to get rid of a family member, but sometimes necessary for the good of the whole.
