Which would you rather have - 3 months of 100* straight and daylight until 9:00 or 3 months of 0* straight and dark by 6:00?
OK, it's not worthy of a real poll. Just speak your mind here.
I'm voting for Summer over Winter.

I'm voting for winter. You can dress more in the winter and when you are cold, you are cold and that's it. When it's 100*F, you sweat, and sweat and sweat. You need to take 3 showers a day, change clothes as often and try to avoid any hard work because well, you can't work when you got sweat running in your eyes. Did I mention the bloody tiger mosquitos?
The only thing that sucks in the winter is the extreme snow some of the states have. I'm not used to snow, it snows like once every five years over here for like a day or two, but it's irritating since I can't drive the Miata and I don't have another car. But that's about it. I don't mind when it gets dark by 6 - hell I like it more, but only maybe because Athens is the city that doesn't sleep at night.
When I was still considering a move to the US, the only states I would consider were the ones that had an average temperature of 50*F or so.

I guess I haven't updated this lately. All new electrical service has been installed. Roof completed last weekend. Windows are installed in the sides, still need the windows in the ends.
My wife spent the weekend painting the inside. I have been needing to do some dirt work on the island and had a hundred little sucker trees to dig out, so I barged my little skid-steer over to the island like a boss.
Unloading on the island.

Random ****: "So tell me a little about yourself."
Stein: "You like sports cars? I have a Miata."
Random ****: (Thinking to herself: What a ***.) "Oh that's nice."
Stein: "Did I mention, I have my own island?"
Random ****:(Thinking to herself: I want you inside me NOW!) "Oh really!?!"
Stein: (Thinking to himself: I'm probing every hole you got.) "Yeah, want to see it?"
Uninhibited ****: (Thinking to herself: I'm letting you probe every hole I got)" Um, OK!"

New level of island baller status. Started doing dirt work. Installing a full fescue sod lawn in two weeks. Everything is just rough graded. I had to dig out about 100 little trees with my loader last weekend so I have a lot of tree roots to clean up in the next two weekends. It's hard to see in the second pic but the lawn will go off to the left. We will be installing a horseshoe pit over on the left along with the fire pit.

Literally saw two mosquitoes last year. It was very unusual. Didn't even put out a bug zapper.
Sure
Loader is less than half the weight of the rated capacity of the dock (3,000 vs rated 7,000) so not that baller.
