Default Holy **** barn find

Two E30 M3's, one with 37 and the other with 57 miles, and a Ford ******* RS200, plus Mercedes 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution II. Highest mileage on any of them...1,400.

Same guy bought them all.

I sincerely hope you are not him. I might actually chop off a pinky for a mint E30 M3. that goes double for an RS2600 Capri, though an RS200 Escort is up there. Lucky Bastard.

You could probably sell the cars and pay for half the barn if not the whole thing.

I'm also confused... what's a barn find? Like... stumbling across the cars while checking out a random barn..? Was this guy looking for 1 or all of these cars? :???:

A barn find is a classic car that is discovered abandoned, usually in derelict condition. The term comes from its tendency to be found in places such as barns. ..
A valuable item recovered from an undeserving storage, usually in the countryside, where it lay more or less forgotten, especially vintage ...

In my areas, where we have barns, if someone dies, or for some reason you see in an old barn and there is a more rare car in there, in fairly decent shape, it is a barn find. It isn't like you buy a barn and find super rare bad *** cars in there, all though i guess that would technically count. Also, it is usually someone that doesn't know what they have (ie: the little old lady that still lives on the farm.) I know of an old Galaxy 500 in just about mint condition, 427 4 on the floor we found when we were sneaking around when we were little, to my knowledge it is still there, we never could find who owned the barn. My brother and i also got a 72 mercedes like that.

I know of a few cars hiding in barns... They are out there waiting to be restored by someone someday.

That's where "right place at the right time" pays off. They finally decide to sell or they die and the heirs dump it for cheap.

I know of a pile or cars sitting in barns, old sheds, under trees...and they all have the same story..."not for sale, gonna fix it up someday".
To name a few...
1968 Chevelle- sitting in this guys driveway unmoved for years
1965 Mustang Fastback 289 Auto, white w/ light blue pony interior- owned by this older guy I know, says it was his first car, he maybe starts it and drives it once every 3 years?
1968 Plymouth Road Runner 383- daily driven, I asked the guy once and he said "I'll sell it, $70,000"...he claims 280,000 miles and he says he's the original owner...that car is all in primer, the vinyl top is peeled off, there's duct tape covering rust holes, it could use a drivers door, needless to say I wouldn't give the guy $7,000 for it. Remember the car in the beginning of the movie Joe Dirt? Well, it's in about the same condition.
My list goes on...pretty much if you live in Schuylkill, Berks, or Lehigh county, and have an old car sitting that is not for sale, I probably know about it.
