I dont need specs dude. I just wanted to know what some of you thought about the 2 recievers I mentioned (maybe someone here has or has had one of them) and was looking for suggestions on speakers. Thats all.

i think i have some advice:

The AVR 630 sits right below HK’s flagship receiver (AVR 7300)
i have the AVR 7300. if the build qualit of the 650 is similar to my AVR 7300 (and they should be, look similar), then it's easily the h/k over the onkyo. i previously had the Onkyo SR601 and the h/k is superior in almost every aspect of design (except for the clunky remote which my dog ate up anyway).

it's not quite Outlaw/Aptiva/Anthem/Nad level, but so far, in 2 years, it's served me well. plus it's free. who cares? for $1000, you can really only buy mediocre 5.1 system if the price includes the sub. also, 2 x component switching can kill your setup if you want to watch anything out of a PC, etc. and have multiple devices (like we all do: ps3, ota hdtv tuner, dvr, etc)

Well hopefully the deal doesnt fall through. As for the 2X compoment om not really worried about it, I already have an external HD 2 channel switcher. Plus my PC is hooked straight to the TV via DVI. Tony can you shoot me some sub $1000 speaker setup ideas?
