Mine tried to spit two of them out recently. And I have read quite a few posts by other's who have had them pop out.
2011 5MT Base with 96,500mi. Had never even had the coils off before.
Threw a P0302 (#2 misfire) today. It has been slowly idling worse over the last few weeks and I was going to look into it soon. A few days ago, it started having a raw gas smell on cold start as well. Picked up plugs on the way home since I suspected them, and #2 and #4 were each 3 turns loose and I just removed them by hand. #3 took 1/4 turn with a ratchet to become finger loose. #1 was still tight.
To be fair, 96k is alot of miles to never change/check spark plugs. Although I don't know the service interval for them. I know my Audi is every 30k or 45k can't remember, but its also turbo..

Service interval is "when the maintinance minder asks for them". Usually around 105k. It comes from the factory with laser iridium plugs.
Our 2003 Pontiac Montana had the front plugs checked at 120k. At 185k now it is still on the original set and the rear ones have never been out. (mainly because we can't get to them).
I had to replace mine (2010) due to poor performance, lumpy idle, and poor fuel economy. What a pain to replace. Step one according to the manual- remove all cowl plastic. You can do it without if you don't mind scraped knuckles.

Removing all that and the whipers takes all of 10min abd saves your back. It is super easy to do (which is good, cause 90% of engine bay work it is in the way...).

3400SFi v6 motor... I had that in my pontiac grand am.
It's definitely a tighter fit in the Montana. In the grand am you just lay on top of the intake manifold and get to work lol.

Yeah. It is really shoved in there. We are ready to get rid of that van, but it just keeps running and isn't worth enough to bother trading in. Curious which will go first, the spark plugs, transmission, or the whole thing rusting in half.
'13 mazda 3 has the same suggested internal although these were simple copper and slowly got bad the past few weeks at 63k miles. Replaced with $14 a spark plug fancy pants one. Hope to get at least 60k!

Well the ones in the Fit that hadn't come loose looked perfect after 96k. The ones in the van are still going strong at 185k. Both are the laser iridium things.
Does this generation of Fit require valve adjustments periodically? A friend of mine has the generation before it and it needed the valves adjusted at around 75k miles if I remember correctly. It would stumble pretty bad when cold.
