Default hooray, a new track is opening, and its more expensive than the current one

We all love road tracks, and I love how they are so incredibly expensive. The older course requires a thrifty $3700 one time fee, then $90 per month, and $20 per session after that.

Now, this new course, wants $5000 and $250 per month.

I think that's just ******* great.

There is another in town that when complete wants to charge $12,000, and you have to submit financial records to become a member.

2.5 miles, 15 turns, 70' elevation
It makes sense though, I bet if all these rich bastards got out there and were **** stomped by a bunch of turbo miatas (not mine) they wouldn't be too happy.
atleast it's almost built

It will only cost me $300 to do a driving school there.

that's pretty ridiculous. motorsports started out as a rich man's sport and it looks like it's going back to that direction.

and street race this kind of bullshit makes us more likely to push it on the streets autox doesnt cut it, and this bullshit needs to be affordable i can understand liability and overhead but comeon you could have open trackdays every once and a while and charge 100-300 bucks totall limit the group sizes and make up some uber waivers viola. If i ever made a track it would be accesible hell you can runt he nurburg ring in germany for 150 bucks a lap why not here, something simialar

consider drag strips, thats a cheap night at the track. Supply and demand I guess, it just sucks.

I was simply stating that drag strips see many more, less experienced, drivers and they are affordable.

tell me about it.

Here in Houston we have Motorsports Ranch Houston, and a couple of other tracks that no one can afford to run on (unless its an open track day for several hundered dollars). And they are building a couple of more that are to be expensive and have built in "guest houses" so that racers families can live there whey the are having a fun weekend at the country club, I mean track.

I've been to their track outside of dallas many times. Its ridiculous the way this **** works. Hopefully one day a track will open without all this high end bullshit, and be alot more fun. It seems that the only place where this **** happens is Texas. Almost everywhere else is affordable.

Makes me wish i lived near willow springs Midohio costs 3K for a competition license and then 700 an event :( Drag racing is alright but the last couple time i went i got rained out, 1/8th mile at that. I like to take corners and would have no trouble keeping up with any event in my car, if given the chance but there is no wya i can throw several thousands of dollars a year at stuff like that.
