Default How the heck can I ship out an engine?

Alright guys I have a potential buyer for one of the spare motors I have. How the heck do I ship it out? Ive never shipped out a motor before. Where can I get a quote and all that stuff because I have no clue. Also how much do stock 1.8's weigh?

find yourself a small pallet and a scrap tire. Strap it down as best as you can. Call fedex, they now own watkins so they can ship it. As for weight, id get a cheap house scale and go by that.

I shipped a block by bolting the lumber to the block bosses. Fedex freight picked it up at the fedex/kinkos and took it to Cali for $55. Go to the fedex/dhl/ups sites and look up the freight info.

Don't use UPS. The shop I work at occasionally stopped using them b/c they borked too many transmissions. They just toss them around.

I wish I knew which freight companies they use (or other companies). Don't know the weight either.
