Default How much should I let my Subaru Forester go for?

Here's the craigslist ad: 2001 Subaru Forester, 5spd, AWD. Only 38k miles! $9,500 OBO Must Sell

I know the price is a little high. Bluebook value for a good condition example is about $8700. It's pretty much flawless except for a scratch on one of the mirrors. I've only been getting low ball offers of like 7k and it's going to hurt to let it go for that. So how much would you sell it for?

Dunno about the price, but damn that thing looks nice. I'd keep it... I'd sit on your price for a while and see what you get. Might have some Subaru geek fall in love with it and offer you something close to your asking price.

i guess it depends on how aggressively the lesbian looking to buy it is acting.

it does look clean, if you can hold out for your price i think you'll get pretty close to it. craigslist people seem like they never want to pay an asking price for anything, so it's pretty hard to be patient at times.

WOW.

If I was in the market for a car id give you 8500 for it. Used cars like this are gold. Knowing that you are getting a used car without having second thoughts that tomorrow its gonna fall apart is piece of mind worth paying for.

Id drive it till the wheels fell off.

Sadly I dont drive enough to even need one car :(

Id also sit on it, and give it time. I wouldnt want to take less than $9k for it if the bluebook is $8700. I doubt there are that many out there in that kind of shape.
