um, traffic in LA goes 85-90mph as it is, or its completely stopped.
i lived in OC for 2 years and if i was doing the speed limit cops would pass me along with other traffic.

 

?? seriously? 99% of them are mental and not exactly renowned for their public driving prowess.

 

Compared to US drivers... even Italian grandmas seem to be capable of overtaking on 2-lane country roads. When there's a slow car, and the road straightens and there's no oncoming traffic, everyone overtakes it in a train-like formation, until the road curves again or there's an oncoming car...
