How to tell hall pickup from mag pickup?
I am not sure where to put this because it is for my car but mine has a 2jz in it so I though this would be a good place to discuss this. I picked up a AEM F/IC to use with my build. The question I have is how do you determine weather any of your sensors are a hall pickup or a mag pickup. I need to know this so I can wire my distributor but other than someone just say it is one or the other I would like to know if there is a visual way to tell. Any help would be great and I am totally prepared for the flaming as long as I get some decent info with it.

My AEM F/IC has im puts for both types of sensors. It has a cam and crank in put and it has either mag or hall for both so I need to figure out what I have to make sure I wire it to the right place apparently it makes a difference in the unit not sure why.

Here is a picture of the distributor off my car. This is the pickups you see in the picture.
GE sensors: see cam sensor on left, crank sensor on top side, another cam on right side (hidden)

Ok I am still not sure if you can tell witch is witch by looking at them as I have been told they are completely interchangeable physically and electrically, but for any one who wants to know the picture above is of a mag style pick up.
