How (and why) to Ramble on your goat sideways
The amount of stupidity out there is amazing.
So Sunday night I arrive at ATL from PDX about 20 minutes ahead of my friend coming from SEA. I make a b-line to my car to unload my bag so I can go back and help her. On my way back in, I stop outside for a cig. Being the person I am, I walk over to the designated smoking area outside. I'm standing behind the benches that have a large "DESIGNATED SMOKING AREA" sign above them. About 30 seconds later, a lady sitting at the bench turns around and says "Would you mind not smoking behind me?". I was about 5-6 ft away from her. Caught off guard, I stumble to reply. "Ummmm...ooookkkkkay" I slowly say while giving her a "who the **** are you?" look and point at the sign that is right above her head. I take one step to the side and continue to finish my cigerette with no regard to if the smoke is blowing her way. About a minute goes by and she gets up and moves down to a bench that is not in the smoking area. Amazing.

Anybody here know of a reasonably good, well priced single stage paint for the Miata? I've used Sherwin Williams and liked it OK, but I was thinking there may be something else out there that is better for less money. I'm about to throw up a gazebo tent and some thin plastic sheets for a makeshift booth and paint this ------- car. Even a shoddy job with low tier single stage paint would look better than this multi-color, faded to pink mess of a paint job I currently live with. The mirrors are completely through the paint on the tops, with primer clearly showing through. Same for the front bumper and mostly for the rear bumper, which also have some sort of dark mold spots on or in, or even under the paint. The paint has zero shine left in it and is just shot. 18 year old single stage paint, never garage kept, lived a lot of its life on the coast in Florida (sun and salt) and dealt with me putting a beating on it with constant buffing and waxing early on after I got it. Paint is DEAD!

It's typical. Remember the mass shooting, the feiry boat crash, the multiple car accidents involving Grey.
The writers are lazy as hell, they make the characters retarded as ----, then they kill them off when they don't test well. I would have killed off the other grey because everyday she gets ugiler.

I never would smoke in bed or in my apartment at all though. I did smoke packs on packs in the fraternity house though, but cigarettes were considered mild in those days.
back in my chimney days, I would never pay any attention to those signs or any of that other bullshit. my campus was a non-smoking campus and I can't tell you how many times I'd light up right outside my classroom after class.

Nifty!
I have a 97 Honda Accord for sale. Great car for everyday use. Great gas mileage.
Has new carberator, head gasket, starter, and alternator. Oil changes up-to-date!
Needs interior work but other than that the car is ready to go!!!!

basically, on campus, smoking was "prohibited", but there was no legal way to make you put it out. I remember once a campus cop walked up to me and asked me to just move behind a building, which I complied with because he was nice but if he'd have been a dick, I probably would have just told him to ---- off.
So I drove the MOAB Miata around yesterday so I could get it inspected for the title bond application...I had forgotten how fun a boosted Miata is. Especially with all that low end torque from the Whipplecharger. Even cruising in 5th on the interstate, you just roll into the throttle and it jumps.
I'm pretty tired of this particular car, so I'm thinking as soon as I get the title I'll put it up for sale...but yesterday made me question whether I should keep the Whipplecharger setup or just sell it all and start over with a turbo. I like the MOAB setup, but as an expensive, unsupported system, I wonder if I'd be better off just passing it along with the car (and saving the hassle of removing it).
Decisions, decisions.
