Here, you can purchase the coupon for $1.99 from this guy on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/HARBOR-FREIG...id=p4340.l3484
Cheaper than a copy of RiceWorld magazine.
And yes, the $100 coupon is a real thing. Here is a picture of it:

Yes. I used it last spring to buy my hoist. What is funny is the worker at HF had no clue where they were coming from when he brought out my hoist. He said he had seen a few people use them, but had never seen where they got it from. I told him all the import magazines had them and he was surprised.
The hoist is a bit small if you are planning on pulling tons of engines in lots of different cars, but for a miata it works fine. I have pulled probably half a dozen miata motors with mine over the past year that I have had it.

You do have some control on the people you surround yourself with.
If you are surrounded by unreliable people and you find that to be particularly vexing, consider doing something about that.
That's assuming you are not intentionally surrounding yourself with unreliable people that you find vexing because you find bitching about vexing, unreliable people to be a net positive...

Am I the only one who is annoyed that whereas you used to be able to walk into any post office, pick up a change of address packet and find a "10% off your whole order" coupon from Lowes, the packet now contains a card which gives you a link to a website where you can register for the coupon?
Kind of sucks when unforeseen circumstances require that a large purchase be made at Lowes on short order (eg: sudden failure of a major home appliance) and you don't have time to wait 3-7 days for them to email you a code.
Anyway, here's the address: https://www.lowesmoving.com/register/step1.asp

The contractor said he wasn't that surprised though, since he "moved" quite a bit in the last few years.
Nah don't even tell them you have one.
I don't even know if there is a word that can describe how cool you are.
That was the first thing that came to my mind. I can imagine them calling me asking to "borrow" it when tractor douche doesn't show up, or when it snaps into reality that their **** is being dangled on a chain attached to a Bobcat bucket and one false move equals no more motor or ******* your car up. But hey, I'm sure they'll have a great time deadlifting the motor in place and attaching it to the engine stand.
That's an even better idea.

It is distressing to learn that John de Lancie, the actor who portrayed Q on STTNG, is, to some extent or another, involved in Brony culture.
(I'm not sure whether it is more or less distressing to refer to "Brony culture" as a recognized concept in general.)
