I've heard good and bad things about the china ones. Honestly I would trust it to hold my car once in place (safety hooks) but I sure as hell wouldn't be under it while lifting or lowering.
|
lol
You can buy china two posts lifts on aliexpress for less than $1000 shipped. What could go wrong! I'm gonna buy one. |
Get one drop shipped to me.
|
No wait, ask for a free sample.

Oh, they won't actually complete the order if you pay for it there.
" Note: all the products displayed on aliexpress are for promotion, the price are just for reference. Please contact by email to get the final price. Please see the declaration which on shop homepage. ......................" Bringing big ass shit like that in from china suucks, they bring it to a port, then you have to hire a broker to make sure it's all legit or something. Paying $800 more for something like this... http://stjoseph.craigslist.org/tld/5285994618.html probably worth it. |
Ask for a sample. Not joking.
|
:giggle: I've been running down alibabas and dhgates and the like since I was 14, I know when to ask for samples.
|
I've never actually used them. Always seemed a little too scammy.
|
aliexpress is the best thing ever, before that it really was the wild west. Finding dropshippers who could legitimately open a paypal account for some security in China back then was a real deal. They wanted more, obviously, but it was still worth it.
It's why I sucked the last years of high school, staying up late dropshipping. Guess "door to door" is a thing now though so you don't have to deal with the port at all, and I think it's how I had this laser cutter ordered over? Maybe it wouldn't be so bad. I'm gonna e-mail them tonight. |
I'm somewhat interested.
|
Nvm no I'm not. I'd spend $500 on one, not $1000.
|
|
Had a china 2 post at my dads shops for 5-6 years. No issues.
|
I like their style.
"No cover plate design, convenient for repairing and operation" Fuck not cutting your fingers off or dropping a socket down in there, you need quick access to this stuff. Feature! I very much want one and am considering trading that Colorado for one. I don't drive it, so why not? |
I feel like the colorado is worth quite a bit more.
My only issue is that $1000 could be spent on some bitching car parts. And there isn't anything I can't do on jackstands that I can on a 2 post. I'm sure in 10 years my back will disagree. |
For the record, the two post we are getting is $1500.
About 350 down, and 9 installments for the rest. Includes installation. We'll pay about $120 for shipping. It's a factory refurbished unit - complete with new everything, including the power panel and powder coating - and has a 2 year warranty. |
Yeah, but I use my shop to fix cars for more money so it makes sense for me. Plus Colorado is worth more, s10 finishing money, lift money, and extra shop space. I've turned a few people away who would've been lucrative jobs with a lift, I could start buying blown cars and swapping subframes in the afternoon. Maybe I finally get my dealer's license...
My only deal is I'd want to lift full size trucks and stuff, well, I wouldn't want to but I would. Think it'd hold up to those still, Sean? |
Deezums, buy pats EFR 7670 instead of a 2 post.
