Can 15' 18awg handle 50 watts without setting on fire? I need to approximately triple my desktop LCD monitor powercord.

Have at it, hook up two monitors if you like.

50 watts is not much. 18 awg is good for 7 - 10 A within that length.

Eeyup. And 10a, at 120v, is 1,200 watts. I suggest this monitor:

Looks like it runs on 2 AA Batteries. No other specs given.

Send it to someone who can weld. weld wastegate shut. weld new end for downpipe.

Can't I have the same physical address for one whole calendar year? Is that too much to ask? I haven't filed a "normal" tax return since TY 2008.

Ah, well. I'll never forget the year that I literally had to file as "homeless," as even though I was living quite comfortably in series of nice hotels across the country (with my company footing the bill), I genuinely had no permanent address in 2000. Just a green Ford minivan and an AmEx corporate card with no limit. I kinda miss those days...

Come to think of it, during the last census I also reported my domicile as "homeless," as the question was specifically "where was your residence on [specific date]", and on that date, I'd already terminated by previous lease but hadn't yet signed a new one, and was in transit across the country in a Penske truck.

My wife cut her hours at work to go back to school. She didn't cut back that much. Went from 72hr/pp to 60hr/pp. I decided to see if filing separately would make a difference this year.

We go from owing taxes, to getting a sizable return. Tax brackets are broken.

I tried to pitch a divorce, so she could file as a single mother next year... she didn't go for it.

I mean you are not going to half to write a very large check like you had to do back in the Harris days are you?

I will have to say I am pleasantly surprised by the taxman. I already got my federal tax refund back. I filed a week ago. So that is something the government actually did reasonably quick.

Now to find a diesel rape van to buy.

Through lots of here-say, I know a couple that did that. They live in a 3000sqft house in a bad neighborhood, or at least he reports he lives there...she doesn't, and she gets all the subsidies for the kids along with tuition credits for her to go back to school....the whole 9 yards.

People are more likely to do what they are incentivized to do.

Doubtful. I'm a normal W-2 guy now.

So what you're saying is... if I violate the law, I can come out ahead?

Maybe "A Day Without a Woman?" Not too prominent with this crowd.

Do you suppose they get the irony?

Googled it.

We had a holiday where liberal women didn't show up to work and nobody noticed. I like it.

Maybe they should have stayed in the kitchen practicing having orgasms?
