Oh, just prepping for some yard work.

AFAIK its when TPS is 0 and rpm is over a set point, say 1500 rpm.

I will confirm with my odb scan tool. At idle, should the PID read 0 exactly? Or will there be a slight offset.

There has been times where I'm having the issue, restart the car. And then the issue is gone.

Isnt vacuum a set point as well? I can't remember.

May need to calibrate the TPS position also to ensure the TPS closed set point is correct. IIRC my TPS is closed below 26 or something like that, therefore setting the set point to zero would almost ensure that I would never reach fuel cutoff.

You are probably correct, I forgot about that.

I saw a motorcyle on the side of the road yesterday. He appeared to be removing his license plate. It was heavy rush hour traffic. I'm sure he was planning to re-engage traffic and continue peacefully at the speed limit...

You sure you are not getting ready to board a united flight?

Bugs aside, it's time for me to ask a random Miata Aids question.

----

Fuel cut on throttle lift, what is it? The act of fuel cut when you let off the throttle and no fuel is being sprayed. Coasting in gear, no throttle, fuel cut... AFR is 22+

WTF SENSOR CONTROLS THIS, OR IS IT MORE ORGANIC MAGICAL NATURE OF MULTIPLE SENSORS THAT CUT FUEL? :vash:

At wit's end with the issue. Symptoms include, 1200rpm, running rich. It is NOT a vac leak as it comes and goes when it wants. There are days when everything is smooth sailing and A-OK, 28mpg.

So far I've replaced my map sensor and tried a friend's msm bog solenoid and same issues. I can get codes posted later this afternoon.

Can be activated at times by slight throttle, possibly TPS giving bad readings? :dunno:

As long as I'm driving at pace, normal load. Not in traffic stop and go or idle at a light. Runs just fine.

Are you on 1.5 by any chance?

On a completely unrelated matter, kinda curious to see if I can start a nerd-fight here.

The Battlestar Galactica (2003 version, during the prime of its career) vs. an Imperial-class Star Destroyer (Episode IV.)

Go.

Different angle is inferior -- severely lacking in kitties.

Damn.....thats how its done. You dont want to see my garage. No room for much of anything except one small chest, a harbor freight 44" roller and a side cabinet I modded to roll.

Godless Commie 04-19-2017 08:17 PM

Actually, four of us got together and rented this place.
It was meant to be a storage space, and we took our time and built a garage/shop for ourselves.
Took us a while since we did all the work, but it was fun.

Rent + utilities is around $150 - 170 a month and we split that 4 ways.

For the record, this is what we started out with:

We're going to Scotland!

Trip planned for July (wife is a teacher; we must go on summer vacation). Prices are higher, but thems the breaks. 10 days, all around the country, with overnight trips to Skye and Orkney islands. A day on each end to drive to/from Toronto, where the cross pond flights are MUCH cheaper (doesn't say much for Rochester International airport), and maybe a visit to the Science museum and/or Casa Loma up there.

Trip is a small group (16-18 people) guided one, with the same bus driver and guides all along the way. We went with Collett Tours, which are very highly rated. It ain't cheap, but it's first class, with nice hotels at every stop, full baggage & limo service, etc. All the various fees are included. We get full breakfast every day, and full dinners most nights. Lunch breaks are on your own, but if it's anything like our London trip, the guides know great places to eat at every stop. This one is their "discover Scotland" package.

Going to cost a small fortune. We don't go on vacations very often, but tend to go all out when we do.

The whole family is excited. If any of you miscreants are in the area, we'd love to meet up for a pint or two.
