I'm biased too, I say get an SV650.

I run bitches down all day at the race track...I especially love passing the liter bikes hardparking it in the corners. The full range torque on the SV makes riding and tracking soooo easy. I run the majority of Mid-Ohio in 3rd gear. I upshift to 5th during the back straight, then back down to 3rd entering the next corner...then just have fun. An instructor got away from me at my last track day, and there were 2 or 3 liter bikes that would hang with me for 2 or 3 laps, beyond that - nothing.

In an Amateur class it is very rare to see a liter bike beating a 600. The liter bikes are heavier and you have to roll on a lot later and input is very unforgiving. An SV is a phenomenal bike to learn on and they are comfy as shit. But even a novice racer can reach the limits of the SV on the track in a season or two, depending on the number of races s/he does.

If you're going to be a track junkie, get a 600cc sportbike. If not, get the SV. If you just want to be a stereotypical squid, get at Gixxer.

Anyone in the market for a kickass custom Glock 30? Thanks for the reminder, mine expires early next month. I don't use mine much anyway though.

I find it amazing that I have owned my Miata for almost 3 years now. Doesn't feel like that long.

I fell in love with Kawi z750s today at the stealership, 2005 model. Hopefully will be able to pick it up tommorow for 3k.

I am a competent rider and this bike will be used for highway commuting to school 30 minutes away

Bah, I ordered the logitech G15, and the fucking Z key takes twice the effort to register. Now I have to send it back and won't have a replacement sent my way until the faulty one arrives at their wharehouse.

Wow, I just looked up the producer of the blower kit on that Exige. The whole thing is very high quality, especially that intake manifold. Check it out..ZING!
