I wasn't pleased about the government intrusion into TV standards, but I haven't been displeased with the service. The formula for OTA HD satisfaction:

If you aren't going to build your own, or drop $100 on a bigass antenna, then just order this:

http://www.amazon.com/Eagle-Aspen-Dt.../dp/B000GIT002

Then go here:

www.tvfool.com

And figure out what direction the majority of the stations you want are in. Mount the antenna on your roof pointing in that direction, preferably with the best line-of-sight you can manage (ie, not pointing directly into a tree or another house). Run good quality coax directly from the antenna to your TV. If the length is longer than 50', invest in a signal amplifier.

Given the mt.net crowd, I figure most of you have researched this yourself, but in general, the people who complain about digital OTA broadcast are using set-top antennas they bought at Radio Shack or Target.

Lol at a sport being a monopoly.

The governments of the world need to be overthrown.

Some of the bands have already been auctioned off. U52-U69 went a while back (the "700 Mhz auction"), mostly to wireless carriers for broadband internet service.

That's pretty much what they intend nearly all of it to be used for. The commission is putting together another 500Mhz block right now, part of which will come from UHF-low.

Stupid question. I was attempting to set the time on my RUNNING car, yes it runs bitches, and there's two fucking notch marks on the crank pulley. They look identical, and they're about an inch apart from each other. Any tips on how can I tell which one is the one I should be aligning at 10*.

Braineack 08-23-2010 12:06 PM

when the crank is at TDC both marks align with 10° and TDC. so when you're advanced 10°, you want the right most mark to align with the 10° mark, the left most will be off the scale. If you lock the timing at 0, both should align again.

buffon01 08-23-2010 01:05 PM

So the one on the far right should aligned at 10*

if the car is running and you have the timing locked at 10°, yes.

I had an '08 600RR, so I'm going to be biased and say get an inline.

Oh that's an easy question to answer...

What purpose is the bike for, and what are you doing with it? Look into the 650r too.

Boo for your logical input!

I used my 600RR and rode it cross country with a 40-pound backpack. Stopping and stretching during fuel stops was enough to keep me comfortable. They're good on gas, very agile, fast and women love them (just not their parents). Also, a little bit of tape, wire, water and water wetter and you have yourself a legal track bike with zero effort. Plus, two wheels is far more exciting and liberating than four wheels. Fucking cages.

In town the 600RR didn't have enough torque to be bothersome with the throttle but had more than enough power from 9K upward (no need to do clutch ups if you want to ride a wheel up through to sixth gear, but you can clutch up in second doing 70-80 MPH with ease). It is geared to match the 1000RR in performance up to 100 MPH and can beat it to 130 MPH with a sprocket change. An issue with sportbikes is vibration in the handlebars. A nice set of weighted Rizoma's take away from that and will save you from the numb fingers. The bike is the lightest in its class, although it has the highest seat, comes with an OEM damper and has ABS as an option.

Just something to think about. Not pro-Honda (I'm a Yamaha guy), but I figured you could use the info.

So I finally got comcast internet after moving down to SC. Speedtest rated me at 20MB/s up and 3MB/s down. It is so slow compared to my old FIOS.

fooger03 08-23-2010 02:34 PM

I'm biased too, I say get an SV650.

I run bitches down all day at the race track...I especially love passing the liter bikes hardparking it in the corners. The full range torque on the SV makes riding and tracking soooo easy. I run the majority of Mid-Ohio in 3rd gear. I upshift to 5th during the back straight, then back down to 3rd entering the next corner...then just have fun. An instructor got away from me at my last track day, and there were 2 or 3 liter bikes that would hang with me for 2 or 3 laps, beyond that - nothing.
