Recreational marijuana has been legal in Illinois for the past ten hours, and thus far, nothing terrible has happened.
I will be extremely curious to see what the homicide stats in Chicago look like a year from now.

DETROIT – A Michigan State Police SUV was struck by a pickup truck on the first day that recreational marijuana could be purchased in the state.
The driver of the pickup, a 51-year-old male, was not injured during the crash, police said. The trooper was transported to a hospital, treated for minor injuries and then released.
The incident occurred on northbound I-75 south of Davisburg in Springfield Township near Detroit, police said. The pickup truck was traveling northbound in the left lane when the driver lost control due to driving too fast for road conditions, police said.
During the crash investigation, it was determined that the driver of the pickup was under the influence of marijuana. He was arrested and a blood draw was administered.
Hmmm. How was under the influence of MJ determined? I had not heard of an on-the-spot test. Or was it really under suspicion, and that is why the blood draw?

I use capers pretty often, and with great pride, in seafood and pasta dishes.
White wine, butter and capers... You can't go wrong as long as you have those three handy in the kitchen.
You can also substitute capers for anchovies in a caesar salad if people are allergic or otherwise unfriendly to the succulent salty sea strips.

By this, I meant only to acknowledge that you are not a farmer.
The idea that capers could substitute for anchovies has never occurred to me. This seems deeply wrong.

I also used some of the left over tamarind to make something for a friend. This friend brings Hannukah to our house one night each year (and has for a few years). I thought this would be appropriate.
More spalted Tamarind finished with a few coats of dewaxed shellac and satin lacquer. I laser toner-transferred the mirrored hebrew letters and then used my soldering iron to do the pyrography.
Our office is on the top floor of our building, maybe 40 people in the office on days that everyone comes in. The bathrooms are outside of the office.
There is one software developer in particular that both myself and my boss have seen exiting the stall in the bathroom, walk past you without washing his hands. And by the smell, you can tell it was not just #1.

I would love to do this. Unfortunately, working for a huge tech company and knowing the very timid developers I work with, even a polite "Hey man, wash your hands after taking a ****." Is likely to end with me on a conference call with corporate HR.
Meh. We had a ninja pooper that would deuce in the stairwell, and facilities refused to clean it up. HR is only there to make sure employees don't get the company in trouble. Send them a note, phrase it in a light emphasizing corporate liability exposure, and make them deal with it. Also, get some extra hand sanitizer.

How do you make a rounded 3" radius down a 48" tall corner? I don't think a router can do that. I've seen mdf premade radiused corner inserts, but isn't there another way?
Basically a tall wooden box with rounded corners (2-3" radius).

I’d buy a pre-made 6” diameter column (usually hollow), rip it on my table saw to quarter it, then use a biscuit joiner to attached it to whatever the sides are made from (assuming some sort of 3/4” wood material).

That sounds like a good idea.
I've been searching for hollow wooden columns. Are they a specialty item? Can't seem to find any at the big box stores

Depending on how finished this box needs to end up, you could always just have someone turn something on a lathe (i.e. choice piece of 6x6 fir), then quarter it and rabbet into the flat sides to the depth you need for your box sides to mate with it.
