There are jobs out there which do not involve people being slowly and horribly mutilated.
Some of them also involve frequent contact with puppies and kittens, although I will acknowledge that those tend to be on the lower end of the pay scale.
Granted, accidents do occur in my line of work, but they're infrequent.
And also quick.
If you happen to touch the wrong part of an energized UHF transmitter, well... on the plus side, you won't suffer. Those things make you go *poof* pretty much instantaneously.

Search, noob!
Can anyone who is familiar with where this information may be point me to changing my Boost controller over from a greddy to running off my ms3 basic? Like where the information is for setting up the ECU to control this solenoid? I have a feeling it only lives in build threads but I'm hopeful someone knows where the best settings are. Preliminary search results are garbage.

Main takeaway is under-state your Bias. "I" values between 1.4.X and 1.5.X are way different for same results. I use lots of "D", not so much to get early gain, but rather to react to really fast rise in boost and pull the gain back to prevent over-shoot.
If you have a lot of headroom between your target boost and your over-boost cut, it is not quite as tricky.

I see that I now have "Senior Member" appended under my name. I would complain it's ageist but I'm not of the right generation to get away with that. Funnily enough, once upon a time I was one of, if not the, youngest person on board. I am currently the second oldest on this ship.
Talking about incompetence, we get our fair share out here but fortunately we have enough barriers in place that it rarely results in catastrophe. Not saying that I haven't seen some major ****-ups. Best was when I came up from below the deckplates tracing a pipe just in time to see a guy who was cleaning in the engine room play a water hose across the vents of a 480 volt motor that was running. The flames that shot out of the motor were almost as spectacular as the size of his eyes.

Guess who gets to start carrying an EpiPen around with him until he's able to go get an allergy test? For seemingly no reason, for the 4th time in 2 months, my lips started swelling like a backalley "make my lips like Angelina Jolie" lip injection. And Benadryl wasn't getting done fast enough.
Went to the Urgent care and they gave me a scrip for some steroids and an EpiPen pack until I get in to see the allergist.

Perhaps old news to many, but new news for me. Most, if not all, flavors of Breyer’s Frozen Dessert is not Ice Cream (per Federal definitions).
Good ole Blue Bell is still Ice Cream made of milk from from contented cows.

Good cheese come from happy cows.
Happy cows come from California.

Serious question, from someone previously unfamiliar with Breyer’s: Is a product which is named "Frozen Dessert" expected to be ice cream?
Encountering that title in the wild, I'd read it rather like "Whipped Toping." Something which one might compare to whipped cream, but with rather more hydrogenated vegetable oil and polysorbate-60 involved.

Serious answer. They don't, on the carton, say anything other than "made with real milk and cream". The sign on the grocery store freezer is what made me search the carton for the words, "Ice Cream", which were not to be found. Breyer's is an old and well-regarded brand around these parts. Not premium, however, like Haagen-dazs.
If, as you ask... seen in the wild... I would expect Frozen Dessert to mean some form of flavored, shaved ice.
Speaking of Dashpots, do any modern, fuel injected cars still have them?

By the time DBW throttle showed up the dashpot had been "dead" for a decade.
Now days when you lift off the throttle the throttle blade DOES NOT follow your foot movement. It stays open far longer than you would think. This feature eliminated the SAI (secondary air injection-air pumps) as the engine becomes the "air pump" when fuel and ignition are cut.
Some BMWs vary the engine speed by controlling the amount the intake valves open (valvetronic) and the "throttle" is fully open most of the time.
Talk about a nightmare to diagnose intermittent idle issues...
