The street "racers" were at fault for going what looked like twice the speed of the flow of traffic which is usually above the speed limit anyway. People never expect the unexpected, by its very nature. When you are driving that fast, people aren't going to see you until it is too late because nobody is looking for traffic coming from twice as far down the road as normal. And they are complete douchebags for ******* around with that many people on the road anyway. If you are going to act stupid do it in a place where you are not likely to kill innocent people, just your own dumb self.

I just got back from the dentist. 1 filling and only 1 wisdom tooth pulled. I told him that I'd rather wait on doing all of them if I could, but he said that one should really come out now, and since he was in the region with the novocaine for the filling anyways, why not.

The nurse told me that she never seen a patient laugh during a tooth extraction before. I have no idea why, but the sound of the roots tearing made me start to giggle and then him saying "ohh look he likes this", while his hands are in my mouth, made me start to laugh even more. lol

Thankfully that's over and done with.

Hot damn! Finally got home in time to get outside (still dark, and still cold, but what the hell, it didn't feel quite as late) and get the G20 up on jackstands. Wiped away as much of the collected oil and what do I find?

More oil.

Okay, keep cleaning and wiping...and then I noticed that oil keep reappearing in one corner of the lower oil pan. I figure it must be a low spot, and oil is running down from above, so I wipe it clean again and watch carefully...nope, the oil just appears. Wipe it clean again, check it with my finger...and there's a little gap. Grab a flat tip screwdriver, test it out a little, pry open the gap and it's pretty deep...and I think I found where all the oil went.

Yay for no holes in the block! And yay for only having to buy a lower oil pan and some RTV instead of swapping the motor.

I mean the DD is not perfect. Bad rocker panel rust on both sides, idles a bit high, and air bag light randomly flashes, but other then those not a bad little car for 500$. I am hoping to hit 500k on it, hopefully it does not rust out by then.

I think at 150 mph, those tiny, tubed tires would bubble and melt.

That's interesting that the dentist only removed 1 wisdom tooth. Are any of them missing?

Usually when removing 3rd molars (actually, I'd say pretty much always), you need to remove upper and lower because without the opposing tooth, it will super-erupt. I'm assuming you're going back to get the other removed?

I'm also assuming he removed the lower one, because you had a nerve block that numbs that entire quadrant. Upper 3rd molars are usually easier and usually pop right out.

Heh. That's ok. The horn & windshield squirter on mine don't work (and I've been too damn lazy to fix them), the top is completely destroyed, and the body is three different colors. (Four if you count the two shades of teal as unique colors.)

But mechanically? All good. Cars like this remind me why the Japanese had such a glowing-halo reputation in the 80s for building reliable cars. It's because they built reliable cars. Not a lot of Dodge Aries are sitting on the high side of 300,000 miles, I suspect.
