Brittany Spaniel?

Those things are HYPER! Every one I have ever been around has been like someone who drinks WAY too much coffee, or does amphetamines. Beautiful dog though.

English Springer. She's like a Brittany Spaniel on Red Bull. There's a hot tub that protrudes upwards from the deck about 4 feet, and she hops up and down it like it is flat ground.

I need to start a thread with pictures from when she was a puppy. She just turned 1.

I'm not dropping $500 into a 3 year old TV when I could go out and get a good deal on a 55'' LED LCD for $1400...

Bastards!!!
+1 for new 55". i saw some ~1k (http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product...=1&topnav=&s=1) but that said, i bought a dvd player and a cap exploded in the power supply about 6mo later. so i found a cap and put it on there and it worked fine until i finally shitcanned it 6yrs later.

got any numbers on the dead part?

Can't really tell what part is dead. It's likely just an intermittent failure, or fluctuation of power causing something to kick off power to save the bulb. The hundred of people I have seen complain of this problem with this model have just had to play roulette and hope they hit the right part. Some get lucky and the $60 ballast will fix it, maybe permanently, maybe 6 months, maybe not at all. Others have to move up the chain to the power supply and main board, which are more costly at $200-$250 each. Even then, you are replacing a part that is faulty, and probably not working well with the other parts as a unit, with the same part that could have the same issues. I'll just have to hold my breath and jump in and hope the water isn't frozen and I don't break my legs.

Oh, I did decide to stare this bitch down and make it work. I paid $1600 for this ******* thing, it's going to serve me for more than 2 years goddamn it!!!

Samsung should be chained to a wall and caned for not putting out a recall on these sets, since the problem is quite widespread.

It's not subjective there. Yes they will and will subsequently be banned for a week.

Harris sure is paranoid. Got this in today's email:

DATE: November 29, 2010
TO: Harris Global Employees
FROM: (corporate VP who has too much free time)
SUBJECT: WikiLeaks Guidance for Harris Employees

The publication of classified documentation today by WikiLeaks is cause for an important reminder that Harris personnel should not access the WikiLeaks website to view or download information. Doing so may introduce potentially classified information onto unclassified Harris networks. Rumors that the information is no longer classified because it now resides in the public domain are NOT true. Executive Order 13526, Section 1.1(4)(c) states “Classified Information shall not be declassified automatically as a result of any unauthorized disclosure of identical or similar information.”

The information published via WikiLeaks has not been declassified by an appropriate authority and requires ongoing classification until it is reviewed by the Original Classification Authorities (OCAs). The OCAs will determine what if any of the material has been declassified, conduct damage assessments, and make a determination regarding continued classification.

In any event, all Harris personnel must continue to protect similar or identical information commensurate with the level of classification assigned until the information is assessed by the appropriate OCAs.

Thank you for your support in this important matter.
If nothing else, thousands of Harris employees have just been made aware of the existence of Wikileaks, and while it is blocked by our filter (as of yesterday evening) something tells me that the majority of these people have web access at home.
