Just skyped my gf, who is living in Ireland. Told her I was going to attend a gala event with a rather buxom friend of ours tomorrow, and probably wear my kilt to entice said friend to grope me as much as possible. GF's response:

"Just make sure you get me some pics of your dick between her tits."

True love right thur.

Well goddamn, that was scary. Got a call from my aunt about an hour ago, she told me my grandfather called her, set down the phone, and started yelling and she could hear the smoke detector going off in the background. My grandfather lives by himself in a house sort of behind my house, up on a hill in an older house. So me and my dad shoot out the back door and across the yard and we can see smoke and flames in his kitchen window. Luckily he still is able enough at 85 years old to get the hose pipe and put out the fire before it did too much damage. Though he did do the wrong thing and put water on a grease fire, but as far along as the fire was, there was no harm. Burned the wall behind the stove and sink about 10ft wide all the way up to the ceiling, and about a 5 foot square of the ceiling and shattered the large plate windows behind the sink and melted the counter top and scorched the cabinets. Talk about fucking scary and getting your heart racing as you run up to a family members house and see smoke and flames and hear smoke detector screaming. First experience with a house fire and I hope the last...

Gf is definitely a keeper. And she's jelly that she wont be there to spit lube the whole operation.

I'll post pics of the business if I get any good ones :D And maybe me in the kilt...I know how the interwebz works and don't believe any good could come of that.

And holy shit NA6C-Guy...glad he's OK!

Appreciate it. I'm probably not going to sleep much tonight, still shaking. Got my adrenaline up and really shook me up. I always thought I would be able to keep my a cool a bit better in a situation like that. Well I guess I did, did what needed to be done, kept low under the smoke and everything turned out well enough. Almost as bad as the fire, is I came back home to a cold ribeye steak, potatoes, beans and steamed broccoli and cauliflower on my plate, sitting on the arm of my chair. I just trashed it, not hungry anymore. Now to shower and wash this horrible smoke smell off of me.

At 3 minutes into episode S02E18 of The Big Bang Theory "The Work Song Nanocluster", when Sheldon describes to Penny the underlying principles of the obligation of mandatum that exists between himself and the United Parcel Service as a result of his accepting Penny's shipment of rhinestones while she way away, the definition that he rattles off is taken word for word from the first paragraph of Wikipedia's entry on Bailment.

Just thought everyone would sleep better tonight for knowing that.

I'm feeling quite irritated. I was driving today and was passed by a new car I had never seen before. I would like to think I am well up to date on new cars being released, and this one was completely foreign to me. I swear I saw a Toyota badge, but Google has given me nothing in my searching. It looked like a hatchback, with a long low angle hatch, lots of curves and I recall round taillights set sort of on top of the hatch. Goddamn it! I must know what this car was, I quite liked it from the glimpse I got of it.

EDIT:

False alarm. Apparently my glimpse was just that. It was not a Toyota, it did not have round taillights, and it's not that good looking. It was a Hyundai Veloster...

Still a pretty interesting looking little car. I'm pretty fond of most of Hyundai's new ventures with cars that are less bland, and made with better materials.

From up high in a truck, it looked better. At least for the :00.78 seconds I saw it

I was surprised by not recognizing one on the road a couple of weeks ago. It's not a bad looking little hatch compared to many offerings (I'm looking at you, Matrix/Fit/Versa).

Braineack 12-02-2011 01:11 PM

Problem is, it's just another cheap hyundai.

mgeoffriau 12-02-2011 01:18 PM

Want this car, but not for $1500.

Bond 12-02-2011 03:50 PM

offer him $800 cash.

mx5autoxer 12-02-2011 03:56 PM

My first car was a Ford Festiva just like that. I paid $650 so yeah, $1500 is a rip off.
