Fixed.

The other .2% are just those trying to figure out how to hook up a ball-gag to a stock seat... so technically they're "working on" their own cars.

Used ones are cheap and are great for the lazy neanderthals who will never get under it and want a little more power.
I guess I'm in the 10%. I know a lot of MSM owners who turn a wrench or two. Many of us have other cars we have been wrenching on for years. Many of them own other miatas, many own several. DIY is not exclusive to miatas and you guy didn't invent it. Some people want a miata but don't have time to stay under their cars. As far as getting so little, from what I've seen around here, a lot of these guys spend a lot of time and money trying to acheive the MSM base HP levels. Mine dynoed at over 200 HP, with minimal bolt ons. They are plenty that are between 230-260 at the wheels. Some folks don't want a car that's always broke. I recently sold a car that fit that catagory, lots of wrenching and money invested and broke a lot....it gets old after a while, especially when you have other **** to do. Just like a lot of the domestic crowd that I know because I'm also into wrenching on domestics, a lot of you act like if you don't turn every wrench on the car, and do everything yourself, and often, a person is somehow not worthy. I like fast computers, I build them myself, does that mean people that don't are not worthy to own a fast computer?

I do agree that a lot of MSM owners are not to handy with a wrench.

1> When we ever claim to be the first DIY crowd?
2> Some people do not want a car that is always broke(I believe the term is "broken"), but not all of us here are happy making only 200 rwhp with minimal written language skills.
3> Congratulations on building computers, maybe you can lead a World of Warcraft guild full of MSM owners who have lots of free time because they also only can install bolt ons.

Does using a pair of pliers on the oil drain plug count as wrenching on my MSM?

At least now you have a car with a tranny that can handle 300hp and will always run, unlike that POS Subie when you first bought it!! After all that money you wasted, a 220whp Miata will hang with it all day long.

No, it just makes you a braindead reject. Go buy a Chinese socket set at Horrible Freight for $10. Don't use a hammer to drive a screw, either.

shows how much you know. I spent a total of 3k on the engine/tranny parts (most used) and the car put down 11.8@114 with a 1.8 '60 (shitty for a subaru Im not a good launcher)......SHOW ME A 220WHP MIATA THAT WILL RUN THAT or please stop talking out of your ***.

the subie BONE STOCK with a reflash that I worked on myself ran 13.2@101 and ran like a champ. what does a stock re-flashed miata run again? oh wait

and lastly, I love my miata and enjoy it every day, but you will never ******* convince me with your bullshit that it is even close as far as performance in a straight line is concerned. It is not. It will never be. mod for mod the subaru will slaughter it. is it a better car? NO it is not, but that is not to say that it is in any way inferior to a miata.

Oh well you know what? I dont care. dont even bother replying. There are so many subaru haters in here and their knowledge is so flawed and stupid when it comes to these cars it is pointless to argue. You win, subaru is a piece of **** car Thats why thousands of people are die hard fanatics, much like some of the miata guys in here. Thats why there is a ginormous aftermarket following. Everyone just loves em cause they're pieces of ****

Ohhh jesus-christ here we go.....

Really though.....this thread makes me lol just skimming through it. I never knew so much hate existed for MSM owners. And the bitch like fighting back and forth is completely homosexual. Congrats.....+1 for miatas labeled "gay". lol
