Default I love a new car

Today I got to tool around in a 2006 Audi RS4. AMAZING. It was a 6MT, a must have for myself. It was a customers car, so I didn't romp on it, but MAN did I want to. I LOVE the interior, feels so well made. The brakes were absolutely MASSIVE! I would love to just beat the tar out of one to see how well it handles itself. It looks mean and agressive, yet still sophisticated. I LOVE it. There were 4 cons..

The center display. I really hate the red on red display Audi has. I would rather see a display like BMW's iDrive. Not the controller or program, just the display.

The exhaust. I know its a luxury car, but its too quiet and clean. Needs to be louder and rougher to go with the agressive looks.

The VW based parts. I'm still iffy on VW from a quality standpoint. After seeing the repairs on Audis and VWs reach into the thousands, its a slight drawback for me.

And last, the wheels. They look good for stockers, but they are HEAVY. I would like something lighter and with a slight lip.

This for me is the coolest car I've seen in a while. The interior quality is what shocks me the most. Not sure if its hand made, but sure felt like it.

You can't beat the feel of a german car. I will take the supposed lack in reliability any day for better styling and not sitting in a blah Japanse or Domestic interior. Here is my buddies bagged A8L daily driver. Its nuts to think this was an $80k car a few years ago. Heated steering wheel and shifter. Easily enough room in the back seat for a foursome or maybe even a small orgy.

If you can afford an RS4, you can afford to replace the crap you don't like about it. Lightweight wheels, etc. I loved my A4 1.8T for the sold feel and was leaning toward the S4 TT for the upgradeability and to keep the feel from my A4.

My neighbor is the head tech (and one of the best in the country) at a Baltimore BMW dealership. He's constantly got various customer Ms parked in our court doing side work.

There is a lot to be said about the feel of a German car, be it an Audi, Bimmer or Merc.

Germans cars do look so increadibly good, but VW is such a piece of **** company that I will never, ever, even consider thinking about buying a car from them after what my sister went through with her TT-225.

I was really up in the air between picking up an MKIV 24V Vr6 Gti or getting another MKIII. I decided on the MKIII because of the styling and the simplicity of everything. Screw drive by wire and all that junk.

German cars just really aren't my thing. Mostly because I don't like luxury. All the guys at work would kill for an s400 (I think thats the one) but to me its just big and heavy and full of crap I don't need in a car. I don't hate em, but I don't like em. Just something about the RS4 that I loved. I'll never own one for many reasons, but I wouldn't pass up a free one.

My fav cars are true JDM cars from the 50's to the early 90's. I really like the small ones, like the Mazda AZ-1 and Suzuki Cappuccino and the like. Or Hondas old S series.
