I think that seems fair and what I would be willing to spend.

(for people who fell out of their chairs when they saw the price quote)
you're saving me lots of money on this deal. I'm probably 1 month out from calling you to schedule an appointment.

Have you talked to BEGi about it yet? I know they have been wanting to "play" with a MS for a while to see what it can do.

Stephanie might work a deal with ya so they can experience the MS craze first hand.

I have not. I have money to pay for the fine tuning, and don't really want to sound like a leech trying to get something for free, but I'd love to drink beer on the riverwalk and tune my car simultaneously.

I paid $185 an hour for dyno and tuner, and I felt like I got ripped off.

Along these lines, I just picked up a '91 Mazda 626 for $300 to use as a DD. had a bad idle along w/ a leaking head gasket so I pulled the head off (even though the girl gave me a receipt for $1400 for a R&R'd head <800 miles ago). Boy was I suprised when I pulled the head off.... I guess this shop's idea of a 'head refresh' was clean the mating surfaces and put a new head gasket on. Cyl #3 intake valves were leaking so bad i did a quick 'water test' with the head on the work bench and a full intake runner leaked out through the "closed" exhaust valves in <5 seconds.

good news is that my machine shop will have that head done on sunday for <$250 and i'll have a $550 car that runs perfectly
