Yeah. The 510 has been popular since they were new. Drop in that 1.6, greddy upgraded with an intercooler, would be very nice. They are hard to find in good shape for reasonable money though. You can pretty much do a BMW 2002 for the same money. Another car that looks good with real performance mods.

Those were insanely fast back in the day. We never got any 2 doors here (only 4 doors) but they were really, really fun to drive. My brother in law used to own of the few.
Another curious bit; they were called Datsun 510 SSS back then. Nissan had not changed its name yet.

Swedes can be great but they are heavy pigs. Seen a couple really nice builds. One that HPDE's around here. Classy older car. Tough to want a car that heavy though after driving the Miata. Light = might!
