Default I sold out!

So as you all saw, I parted out my turbo kit.. and 3 days ago sold the Miata to a friend and bought an 00 Mustang GT.

overall I am happy, I have always loved GT's and finally found one that I wanted.

now I am saving the pennies for a vortech s/c system and a full build down the road. give me a year.. this baby will have 550whp woah!

Thatguy - thinking of doing the same thing here - I see the GTs are just under 10.

I'd love to have a mustang.
A fox body with a built 351W and an 88mm turbo.

I wouldn't sell a miata for one though.

Twinturbo'd 351W FTW!!!!!!!

Fox body mustangs are my favorite (especially ones without the fastback).

DOHC, IRS, double wishbone suspension, 50/50 weight distribution to .....pushrods, solid rear ends, rocker arms.....that's like trading in a fine wine for a bud light. Hey at least your still RWD and have 4 more holes.

How much is a whipple charger vs vortec? a friend of mine w/ an 01 Procharged SS has a friend w/ a whippled cobra and it stomps 750 GSX-Rs and could probably run a R1 street bike...and its cheaper than most setups.

now, given the GT isn't exactly a cobra, but its not that different, so a whipple is worth looking at, its makes some power in the right setup.

Its also his DD.

Getting bored with it - stupid CA SMOG has me to take off the Tubo every two years, I have two kids and the Miata is almost like having a bike - its kind of like a solo thing. The roads around here dont inspire to worry about 50/50 weight and suspension set ups :( This is not my daily driver and I have not driven it for about 2 months - it just makes me sad.
Unless I keep it for another 15 years when the kids are independant - but at that time I may as well just buy another one...

Good luck and have fun with it! I'd look into procharger first.

Procharger is a good setup too...I've never seen one on a mustang but my buddy has it on his SS, its been reliable and makes great power...(D1SC)
