Found this for sale. Why would anybody own this?
Driving to work the other day I saw this sitting along side of the road. I called about it. When the guy answered, I said, "I'm not sure what it is, I'm not sure what I would do with it, but all I know is, I want it." The guy told me it's a 1970's SnowCat with a custom body that was made in hollywood for the movie "The Last Airbender". I asked what kind of motor is in it, the guy said "it's a Chrysler V8". He couldn't tell me what V-8, he just said it was a Chrysler. I asked him, "what are you looking to get for such an item?"
THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS WAS HIS ANSWER.
WTF?? Seriously? Was the movie "The Last Airbender" that great? Is a customized 1970's SnowCat worth that much? It's in Pennsylvania, not Siberia...I can't drive that thing anywhere. How can someone even ask such a price for something that they can't even tell you the cubic inches of the motor??
It does look pretty bad assed though. I was thinking more of the $3,000 price range.

Restored armor (tanks, personel carriers, etc.) go for big bucks. Much more than that thing. That's cheap for a wanna be tank guy.
I looked at a restored Hetzer (German WWII tank destroyer) in PA a few years back. the guy was asking $120K for it, and it sold. Not sure if he got his asking price, but I'd be willing to bet it was close to that.

Yeah, but that was for the real deal, not a rebodied snowcat. That's like saying a 1990 miata with an italia body is worth $80,000. What motor is in it? "I don't know, it's some Mazda 4 cylinder, that's all I know, but it was made in Hollywood for Ferris Buellers Day Off 2, so it's gotta be worth big bucks."
