What do I need to know, and where should I go if staying in Santa Fe?

I was an amateur skate board punk, worthy of a shoe sponsorship at one time. Although I'm older now, I should have a remote chance of pickign it up on a few days right?

its EASY EASY EASY specially if you can remember how to skateboard.
but just remember, when you're about to bite the dust (snow?) that you can't bail off the board so its coming with you and that bitch can twist up your ankles real good if you fall wrong.
but is FUN

Like he said, if you can skate then snowboarding is easy man. Not that they are alike in any way, it's more like wake boarding. The biggest part is not getting hurt the first day out. You need to watch how you fall, the number one injury in snowboarding it messed up wrists from people falling on their palms and fracturing/spraining something. Alot of beginners put a towel in the seat of their pants as well all folded up because you *** hurts pretty bad after a while cause you'll be falling alot. Depending on the slope, you should just have a great time. If the bunny hill is lame as heck, don't bother with it, it's easier to just take the slope on and fall all the way down it while you learn to turn, stop and use your edges like you should.
Have fun man, its a blast. We used to go out on the river back in Tok and pull each other behind the snowmachines with a big ski rope. You could carve just like you were on water.

I'm going back to dallas right now, but I'll be back on 1/4 and I'm hitting some powder every weekend.
Snowboarding? Oh yeah Im the man, just look at my name! Anyways, yea you should be able to pick it up in a few days. Once you get it...let's just say it's the most fun you can have in the snow.
