If FEMA had the bicycles, would it fund Hustler's manlet bib?

In hopes of not cluttering the thread to oblivion... what kind of kit are we talking here to add battery and electric power to something?
would love this for my commute. the speeds on the commute are about 30mph tops. a cheap bike on kijiji with enough stopping force (discs) with 1" tires is what I would love to ride.

Right now, factory-made ebikes are very much a niche market. Production volume is low, and they're targeting people who are early-adopters of gadgets, the kind of folks who buy things out of the Sharper Image catalog and always have the latest and greatest Apple iThing. I don't like it, but I can understand why that market segment is attractive to manufacturers.

Digging the Vader look.
Goes without saying, and I know you do, but dress reflectively. Holy **** people walk around my neighborhood here in Fayetteville, dressed head-to-toe in dark colors and there aren't many streetlights. Then they walk three abreast on the side of the street and if you didn't see them in time, then you're the *******.
We've talked about this already Trey and I know you wear several bright items.. but I guess I needed to vent.

Unfortunately, this bike weighs 18+lb right now. Fortunately, I just found a set of 6700 dark gray brakes to match my crank for $60 shipped. That ugly rear derailleur is staying until I switch to 11-speed in a few years, unless a DA RD falls out of the sky.
When I rode at night I had a "crossing-guard" X that goes over my back, lflashy light on the helmet, flashy light on the post, hi-viz gloves, 700 lumen headlight, but I'm not sure that I'll ride at night again for a while. During the day I usually wear black kit with a single white stripe and always a flashing light on the post.
For anyone looking at a CAAD10, the new brake cable routing is awful unless you're an Aussie.
I'm finishing-up breakfast, going to put down the mud, and then go for a 50-mile ride on my Texas climbing route through the country.

I went and rode dirtbikes one weekend with the TX crew and when I got back on the bicycle things were very sketchy.
Whenever the bars turn more than 60* or so, the housing kinks, so I left it long as hell and it looks like ****. Good thing everything is all black and it's hard to see.

Looks like a mens bike to me. It still has the ---- killer bar, womens bikes dont have the ---- killer bar, like so.
This bike is approved by Joe Perez and the committee for Joe Perez for bike czar.
