nope it's not just you, I've had Red Robin in Utah and Oregon at multiple establishments multiple times. Disappointing every. Single. Time.

The 5 Guys where I live now is reliably pretty tasty. Sometimes it's better than others, but I've never been disappointed.
Tasty, yes. Do you feel sick after though? So greasy.

For fast food, the Hardee's (Carl Jr.'s) near me is actually a decent burger.
Yup. Some times are much better than others but it's always good in my experience.

The only consistency I've found is that McDonald's is ******* garbage everywhere. Even the few I tried in the UK, Germany, etc were crap. Better than here maybe, but still crap.
So much this. Awful.

I had a five guys bacon double cheeseburger the other day. So good, but no in-n-out.

Not that I can recall. I mean it sits really heavy no doubt, but I've never felt truly sick. I just slip into a food coma for the rest of the afternoon.

Of course I'm further blasphemous in that I go to 5 Guys and sometimes get a bacon cheese dog (with grilled onions and jalapenos) instead of a burger.

Seriously. And if a 5 Guys burger makes you physically ill, just go back to eating your kale salads.

And YES bacon cheese dogs. I like mine with mustard, mayo, and relish. Just wish they had chili and/or sauerkraut.

I had five guys yesterday, the big bacon cheeseburger. It was epic. It should be for $7.50. Two of those, and a little hamburger plus one order of fries was $25.0. Pricey.

In the god forsaken land of Yuma, Arizona there is but one bright spot. Its the only place on the planet (that I am aware of) where there is an In N Out Burger across the street from a 5 Guys.

Had one of these little guys yesterday with fries + malt vinegar.... Sitting here thinking about it I may have to go back later in the week.

We don't have an In-N-OUT.

Five Guys had malt vinegar available for the fries? Wow, around here the only place you see with malt vinegar are the fish places.

I have both here in town, but not across the street from each other. That pic is from Yuma

To be quite honest I find both to be tasty in their own way. I would be hard pressed to choose at any given time, provided I was in the mood for a fast food burger.

I'd still take Carl's Jr over either one, particularly their new "all-natural" burger.

*Gasp* never insult the all mighty in-n-out in front of a Californian, that's blasphemy.

Wait, Hardee's?

While all the other burger places started to soften their images after the "SuperSize Me" debacle, Carl's went the opposite direction and went full-on burger ****. I can respect that.

The missus said exactly the same thing a few weeks ago.
I kinda sorta agree. Maybe it's in my head, I dunno

Perhaps I need to rethink my lunch plans for tomorrow?

A couple weeks back the girlfriend took me to a place on the north side of Chicago called Burger Bar, local joint. Jesus this place was more glorious than Zeus's mighty beard. They served elk and buffalo burgers as well. If anyone is in the area, they definitely need to try it.

I ate at Elevation Burger last weekend. My opinion?
I got there right when they opened and the amount of time they threw my order together was amazing.
I got an "elevation burger" with mushrooms, swiss cheese, grilled onions, elevation sauce...I think that was it.
I also got fries with it, which are cooked in olive oil instead of recycled biodiesel.
I got my wife a chocolate shake, which had many options to it.
Taste opinion?
The fries were awesome. They were tiny "shoestring" fries...but the way they were prepared was worth it.
The burger I felt was delicious...but not as delicious as 5 guys. Yes, I think the quality of the meat was wayyy better, but it was like comparing a Drew Estate Cigar to a pack of Newports.
Milk shake...didn't bring all the boys to the yard. Yes it was tasty...but Jules Winfield wouldn't shoot up some bitches for Marcellus Wallace over it.
I'd rock it again though. I'm one of those *******'s that calls 5 guys 8 minutes before I get there with my order...and yet I still stand there waiting for it as if I never called it in. To a man who has time as valuable as mine, that's horseshit. It's the fries I always wait for...wtf 5 guys??
