Who can ever read taggers sigs. When they get caught their tag should be branded on their forehead.

Try using some acetone or lacquer thinner to clean it off before you try to paint over it. Typically you can get that off without ruining the existing house paint if you don't let it sit too long. Longer the tag is there, harder it is to clean up.

Unfortunately, there has been a rash of this in our neighborhood. Kinda upsetting but there isn't much for me to do about it. If it happens again after I clean this up (which it will most likely) i'm gonna stand by with a paintball gun and hope to catch them. I probably wont cause they're sneaky ****** pussies just like thieves.

 

i'd definitely do something, paintball gun only sounds harsh enough if you freeze the *****. setup a motion lamp so you can see your target better

I'd be pissed as hell to get sued by a tagger because I accidently took out his eye with a paintball gun. I'm sure some little **** and his parents would sue you too for a dozen or so paintball bruises on his torso. I can see the courtroom pictures looking something like these with the dirtbag attorney saying "Your Honor, little Timmy is a sweet kid. He saw the tagger run off and found this paint can laying there. Look at the torture and assault done to this poor innocent child."





You also don't know if he'll come back later with his AR15 and spray your house in retaliation for the disrespect. I vote for sack over the head so he can't identify who did it and throw him in the nearest blackberry briar.

 

Lol. I see your points cueball but the fact of the matter is that this "kid" isn't a minor. College just started up at the university and kids are all over the place partying and raising hell.

Its drunk college kids doing this, i'm near certain of it. My old neighbor was a tagger and so is a coworker of mine. I have no idea what makes people want to partake in this.

Get an electric trip wire that is generally used for keeping dogs from digging under fences. Place it about 3-4ft from any likely tagged wall. lol at electrocuted tagger's ankles.

 

As for painting over the tag, I though Kilz would cover it good? Then you could paint over that.

 

In Texas at least we have laws clearly written against anything resembling a "booby trap." They covered pretty well in our handgun class. You will likely be arrested for it, and easily be sued if any injuries result.

I would honestly call the cops...just so when you do whatever it is you want to do to "defend your home" they've already been out there once and ask a lot less questions.

Our cars were recently broken into and I did this...even told the cop next time I was just gonna start shootin' instead of running after the guy through he field next door. He said as long as he takes one step towards you when you confront him that this is reasonable defense.

 

Don't attack them. If you catch them in the act yell something like "hey you ****!" and take it from there. If he runs down the street, gets into a car, etc, give the police a call. If he turns around and you have a face to face interaction, ask him "really man, what the ****?". Not worth assaulting someone over something a simple as painting over a tag. IMHO that is at least, and I'm always down for a fistfight.

 

Best thing you can do is deface it. They do it as a mark of territory or coolness, so adding a **** to it would make his tag uncool, and would likely dissuade him from repeating this there.

The only other option is to have removed it already before he got to come back and show somebody. They always come back to show it off to friends. They often just ride by the next day. It is likely too late for that now.
