My car has been down since October when I burnt up some ground wires. Two problems existed until this week:
1) My turn signals/brake lights didn't work
2) The car wouldn't start

So, what was found to be the cause after 5 months of downtime? My INJ fuse was burnt up and my BTN fuse was missing. WTF! Either I am getting really forgetful or I have gone completely insane. I see that my FAN fuse is missing as well. I cannot remember removing it and have no idea why I would. Maybe my wife is trying to sabatoge my car?

FWIW, it is hard to notice things like the missing fuse because my wiring system is pretty hacked up at this point and there are a lot of things missing that would normally be there.

 

Maybe on your quest of removing weight you took out the fuses. Have to be good for a couple of ounces right?

 

do you leave your car outside and unlocked where people would do that?

or do you work on it while havin beers...
