Arkmage, it's been a good debate.... I think though, to help with Philip's bloodpressure.... I'll say I'm done. You can keep your NRA card, I'll keep my Peace sign.... and we'll meet somewhere in the middle. <G>

Philip.... I think you need to learn some ways to relax.... it's a debate... it's a difference of opinions.... we are expressing them nicely.... it's a good thing....

Yowch, dude...I'm not even sure what that means, but I can assure you that not all pacifists are homosexuals. And not all those who're gay are pacifists.

C'mon, man, if I'm open-minded enough to realize that not all gun owners are violent rednecks, you can try to understand the other side of this coin, yourself.

there is no "other side of the coin"
what I do, doesn't affect you. That's the end of it.

I'm not saying you can't have your gun(s), dude.

I shot indoor smallbore as a kid. What are you shooting?

When I was really young, like 8 or so I had a FWB 300s. I keep hoping to find another just to have for sentimental purposes

there's always one or two on gunbroker, just haven't taken the time to snag one, and I don't have a basement to shoot it in with this house.

It's cool dude... I respect your opinion even if I do disagree with it Most of my friends refer to me as a hippy with guns. I'm pretty much anti war/anti-violence... but I do love my guns.

You are obviously a *******. You have proved through many comments in this thread that you are one.

To the others who are actually stating their opinions and having an argument - If the guy robbing your house doesn't have a gun because it isn't easy to get them, then you don't need one to protect yourself.

Protection is a bad justification to have a gun. I grew up playing with toy guns and would LOVE to shoot at a shooting range and go hunting. I totally agree with my nations choice of ensuring that firearms be locked up when not in use though.

Guns are great when used right.
