Hate to break it to you but your not Jewish. Don't mean to rain on your parade, im sure you love getting Chanukah and Yum Kippur off, but if your moms not 100% Jew then the kids aren't Jewish. Its in the Torah.

 

Are you with chabbad? No technically i wasnt born jewish, but I had a mikvah, bris, and a barmitzvah.

No I am not with Chabad, but they are firm believers that you can only be Jewish if you are born a Jew.

I don't have to be anyone to question anyones religion. If you don't want to answer you don't have it. I also didn't mean to offend you, truly I am sorry if I did. Its just not the first time I see people who have a firm belief they are Jewish ,but really are not, based on something so simple as what I mentioned. That and they also don't know any of the traditions or even what it is to be a Jew.

Just go to a Rabbi tell him you want to be Jewish, after he tells you how much ask for a discount.

 

Oh i dont see that alot, im pretty active with Chabad and its a debate we've gotten into once or twice. Its a touchy subject, because i could easily not mention my mom isn't jewish and never run into a problem. But i shouldnt have to, converting isnt an issue as long as it done right. People seem to forget that.

 

Well I see that often so you can imagine then why I reacted the way I did.

 

next time though, ask if they converted (although technically your not allowed too) a better way is to ask what synagogue they belong to, and get to it round about, or ******* PM THE GUY
