I feel I should also mention I lived/worked on an organic farm for a little over a year and was the animal guy there as well. Coop full of free range chickens, 2 pigs and a boar, 2 llamas and a heard of sheep. I usually helped out with the 12+ horses too, although not my responsiblity. Ohh and right before I left I became the farm beekeeper as well.

Just pointing out that even though petco isnt my best credientials animal wise, I have other experiance under my belt.

On another note, I got #9 this morning. No kill shot picture though. The gf was hope and not happy about it, so I was doubtful she'd tolerate a kill shot picture. lol

I also spent about 4 hours this morning clearing brush, weeds, vines and all other types of cover theyve been using around the house. Not only does the place look better, but now I have a better chance at getting a clear shot at them.
Sorry for the misunderstanding, it was not directed at that at all. I too worked at PETCO and yeah, we did a fair job. We had people we just outright refused sale to due to obvious negligence/stupidity. "No sir, you cant keep a turtle in a huggies container even if you cleaned it really well." It can be a tough job.

I was referring to factory farming, the opposite of what you did on the organic farm. I feel sort of crappy eating that stuff, where I have 0 problem eating something I shot/caught myself. Or eliminating pests that btw can be a health hazard.

Exactly! I had so many idiot couples come in with their kids that just HAD TO HAVE A "insert pet here", but when the tally started adding up for the rest of the stuff that's when they'd cut corners. $50 for the pet is no problem, but another $150-$200 for the stuff it actually needs to live, "well we'll just keep it in our old fish tank and put his bedroom light next to it".

I have hundreds of stories about those types of customers from petco. Thankfully the farm was a whole different experience. I bonded with the llamas when actual llama trainers said they were beyond training, gave birth to a pair of rams, and eventually built and maintained my own beehive. Such a great experience and gave me much appreciation for nature and it's animals.

These little ***** on the other hand are nothing but cute. That's it. They do nothing beneficial and are hurting my way of life. I've spent so much of my time trying to get the HVAC fixed up here that its literally made me not even care about having heat anymore. The landlord has finally accepted responsibility and said he's going to have it taken care of, but I've been almost 2 months on this now.

The good news? I ******* got 2 more just now!! lol

She went into the shower so I loaded the rifle and opened the window. Saw one BAM! Got him! Saw another one and loaded the rifle and BAM! Got that bitch!. 2 shots 2 kills! Good distance away too!

There were 2 others running around so I took a few more shots but kept missing them. I went to get the bodies and took my required pictures, but this time, I flung them into the brush pile that I've seen the chipmunks hanging out at daily. Hopefully that will discourage them a little.

Sheesh. People were all over my *** when I wanted to get rid of a couple of geese last year. I guess I should have posted pics of their perforated bodies to gain approval.

I literally just posted that, looked out and saw another one, took the shot and got him. He was the furthest away to date AND was a baby.

So I guess this must mean I'm getting better with the rifle.

#'s 10, 11 and 12 in a matter of 15 minutes today.

Thanks man!

I've been throwing the bodies down at the snake pond on the property. I haven't gone down the hill close enough to get a look at whether or not the snakes come right up and get them. The guy here just told me to keep on the lookout for the big ones if I go near that area.

My order of wolf **** came so I'm going to sprinkle that all around the foundation of the house and everywhere that I see them hanging out. Hopefully between the shooting, clearing the brush outside and the deterrent stuff, its enough to get them out of here.

EDIT: Just got #13. Was on my way out to warm up her car when I saw one so I snuck back in and discreetly pumped the rifle and loaded it. BAM! Her: "What was that?" Me: "Ohh, nothing....I just got another one" lol

EDIT #2: Got lucky number 14 and as I was going to get him I took a shot at another one and got him too. So that makes 15 so far. Just trying to keep an accurate tally.

Tell your GF that they attract snakes, since most females are (ironically) afraid of snakes she won't mind you killing the cute furry little chipmunks as much.

If I'm outside and I have to ****, I go outside and find one of their holes and **** in it. I'm literally trying everything I can to make them go away. The wolf **** stuff is rated pretty high, so I' figured it was worth a shot to try it.

I told her this awhile back. She hates snakes and now she's afraid that all these dead chipmunks are going to attract them to us even more.

Well I just hit #16 but he escaped into one of their holes. I nailed him but he jumped into the hole and that was that. Thankfully it was away from the house, otherwise I probably would've started digging for him.

I must say, activity has definitely slowed down. I don't know if its cause I'm taking them out or because they are finally leaving. Either way, I feel more at peace at home. Not to mention I'm not as worried about them ******* **** up under the house.

Just wanted to give everyone an update.

Since the last post I'm up to 20 now. Lets just say the last two kills could be best described with the words "brain matter".

There's still a few of them out and about, but nothing like before. Now I plan on going in the crawlspace and patching up any holes while sprinkling the wolf **** granules around the perimeter.

HVAC guy was here last night to take measurements and said they're going to replace the air handler and ducts next week. I sure ******* hope so cause every night it gets colder and colder in this place. 63deg in here right now.

Thanks man. Just when I feel like only 2 or 3 are left, I see a dozen of them. lol

I got #21 this morning and when I just went out to collect him I got #22. I didnt take the camera with me this time but boy #22 got it bad. Hit him right in the ******* teeth.

Maybe my new flag I hung up will keep them at bay.

EDIT: I just got 3 more!! Holy ****!! lol

She was at the kitchen sink looking at one out the window and it was the same one I was aiming at. Unfortunately for her she saw the kill happen. She isn't too happy with me right now. lol

Total tally so far is up to 25 with today as my best day yet with 5 kills.

I tried to link this thread over to my home forum. Apparently you have to be a member to view our forum. Did not know that.

Don't you just love when you can start off the morning with a kill shot? lol

Well honestly I'm pissed off cause that wolf **** didnt do a ******* thing except stink up the whole perimeter of the house. The chipmunks aren't even bothered by it. Figures.

Anyways, I saw this one on the fire pit and had the rifle ready to fire. He had no chance. As you can see in the picture he tumbled down the hill a little after the blast. #26

So now the next item I'll try is one of those fake owls. I'll get one to stick on the porch and see if that helps any.

I found it ironic that out of the 4 vintage spring riders I had listed on eBay, the only one to sell was the chipmunk. lol

Wrapped up and on its way to TX. I had to hold him the whole way to UPS so he wouldn't crack the window or end up in my lap. Shifting with my left hand brought back memories of when I had to do that **** for a couple months.
