I'm a little bit sad that nobody has commented on the Interactive First-Person Cat Simulator which I recently added to my signature.

 

It was not optimized for my mobile device when I tried it this morning, and I've not had time to try it on my desktop. It looked very bandwidth intensive. Clever idea though!

 

Also wtf, does anyone else's cat do this? When I told my vet, she just kinda looked at me funny and dismissed it. Yes, he is fixed.

 

^^ Every cat I've ever owned would knead like that on a blanket, rug, or even on my stomach, and occasionally would add in the sucking part. I figured this was all instinctive and a throwback to kneading mommy's milk bags. The occasional "hump" that your cat adds in there is a new one though.

We were a bit worried about it with one of ours too but the vet says its nothing to be concerned about.

If the cat only does it on soft surfaces i wouldnt worry but if it does it everywhere like its gonna puke out a hair ball then yes i'd get it checked out

Blanket-sucking is fairly common. Out of the 4 that we've had in the last 5 years, one was a hardcore blanket sucker (and was female), one is an occasional blanket-sucker and full time "MUST KNEAD ALL THE FUZZY THINGS," and one is an occasional kneader.

 

I'm going to bet Paulie has the upper hand when it comes to pursuit in deep snow.
